Tell that to Apple...

I'm curious, what has this got to do with Apple?

The noise is frustrating. I can hear it from inside my office.

Push Narita to be better. Improve the ways of getting to Narita. Trying to get there for an early flight is hard and getting back into the city when arriving from a late flight is difficult too.

3000 yen to unlock your phone, so you can use it when you're overseas !

This is a CARTEL arrangement which the Governments should address - but one has to wonder about Corruption here dictating what happens....

The cartel gives you the options of doing it for free online. I think the 3000 yen is when you go into a shop and ask someone to do it for you.

These companies should just be open and honest to the question of "Do you have paternity leave?" when advertising their benefits, instead we have these legal games which benefit nobody (maybe except lawyers).

Safety for me isn't just about murder rate. Things like going to a football match and not worrying about hooligans, or getting robbed by a bunch of youths while walking your dog is what constitutes safety for me. I'm just comparing my life in Japan to that of the UK but I've encountered far less trouble here in the many years here.

Posted in: Oakwood to open new property in Tokyo's Shinagawa See in context

Oakwood operating in a horrible way. They buy an old building in Shinagawa and force out the current residents without giving adequate notice. They didn't even say they were going to operate a hotel, just tell workers there they can be not so nice to the current residents in order to "encourage" them to move out.

I hope people who are thinking of staying there know that the building is next to the train station and very busy train tracks. You can hear the trains from inside the apartments quite easily. Get a good night's sleep there? Hmmm...

What? Wait, there's a Die Hard 3?...

Let me guess he'll be in a plane inside a boat, inside a building which collapses from an earthquake but then survives the tsunami because it's a boat...
