Congrats to all... I second @tokyokawasaki ... I wish if they get a better personal life too... I also worked with japanese, it is really tough.. They live to work under unbearable pressure.. My office mates even afraid of standing before their seniors... ..

wish all these grads a bright future...

Informative article... Thank you...

BTW, I was searching some spot for celebrating newyear's eve... but I couldnt find many... I was searching for some countdown, fireworks like things (Not pub party...) I heard that, japanese celebrate new year with family and frnds and turns a peaceful vacation time from all busy work... 'Go out and celebrate' is very rare... is that true??? Article says so...

I m looking for events near tokyo...

I like most of the comments also... All these comments shows "Hope is a good thing... May be best of things..." (Copied from some film, I m not sure about the name, 'Shawshank Redemption', may be). (^_^)

Amazing story... I never thought I could see this number of super cars running in a straight line... my heart goes with insurance companies... :)

Kamitani said the lead Ferrari was being driven by a 60-year-old self-employed man

@JapanGal

She is pretty good I think, because Adobe Photoshop does not allow you to copy notes. Color copy machines do not either, so some one knows their soft well. The paper is tricky as are the water marks.

I appreciate your analysis/observation...

Have you tried this before??? Just kidding... :)

@cleo well said... I second you...

I dont understand how people can neglect the effort of so called "Fukushima50". For me, they are heros. They had the option to walk away.... Board in a flight to some safer places... But they didnt... they put the interest of the nation ahead of their personal interest...

They deserved to be honored,... More than that their families also should be honored and respected....

Posted in: Market cycle See in context

I saw many people doing the same on the streets... In most of cases, it will be a school girls... I think Japanese are addicted to mobile phones... Let me describe an interesting scene which I often see in trafic islands (Signal is Red)

"A car (Driven by a young man and a beautiful girl (Girlfriend/Wife) sitting in next seat) ran in to trafic island and stops for the Green signal. Immediately after stoping the car the driver picks his mobile phone and start messaging... :( Young lady is already in the middle of something with her mobile phone..."

This is not only the case of one or two... This is the case for most of people... - This scene is so common when I walk on the roads... What is bothering me is, when I look at the beautiful drivers (girls), they never look back... :(

If I were the driver what I would do, or want to do is, I would have a small chat with companion... Look around if there is some nice cars... I will make some comment about cars waiting for green signal... In some situation about passengers inside other cars also.. lol :)

I guess those who are so addicted to the mobile phone is missing many beautiful scenes in their life...

I guess many of you (readers) are also like that... so do watch this link... cheers... ( ^ _ ^ )

Dears... all discussion makes me more concerned about the radiation risks... :( So someone from JT friends please tell me your rating on radiation risk in Tochigi... I m living in Tochigi (Nasu) area. I dont have much contacts in Japan, so someone who knows current situation pls reply...

On the topic, I m very sorry for Hisashi-san. But I think he should have given some fight, than giving it up... Let his soul RIP. Fact is, Japan got a high suicide rate, where as India got a high road accidents... :) One race to death (Rash driving), and the other one dont want a race (Dont want to face the problem, and give up).

Posted in: Was I a date, a friend or just a potential English teacher? See in context

1 - I m sorry, but can we speak in Japanese together?

2 - Have you ever felt pressure from a Japanese friend to play teacher?

Why dont you speak in English??? If you are not ready to help her, how can you claim as friend.... In my view, friendship is all about sharing, caring and helping each other... I never felt any thing wrong in asking an assistance to improve a second language... May be you can speak Japanese fluently... how did you come to that level... You cannot learn a second language all by yourself... you need someone to practice it with...

As a foreigner and a beginner of Japanese, I will be happy to have a friend/penpal to improve my Japanese, I will be even more happy to help english in return...
