The president is only allowed one 6-yr term, which is why he had to be firm in his pronouncements of protecting law enforcers who carry out the war on drugs. By the way, has any of you heard or read anything from the political opposition and local media about the human rights of those victimized by these druggie criminals? Of course you haven't. They've been looking the other way for so long because they either gained from it or they were helpless to fight it. Du30 tackles it head-on and it's putting these previous leaders to shame

The local leaders, for their ignorance or tolerance, are to blame for the Marawi crisis as it was practically autonomous. Until Du30 came along, the Muslim region in southern Phils had been ignored.

If you've been to his home turf of Davao, you'd realize that it is an amalgam of what the Phils should be, with Christians, Muslims, and indigents coexisting peacefully through his leadership and tough stance on law and order. This was a difficult thing to pull off as Davao is geographically porous from all sides. But he made things happen there, among other things, and he's doing the same now at the national level.

As for his most vocal critic (Aquino's Justice Secretary) she's in jail now, not as retaliation but for her obvious but as yet proven-in-court connection with the drug trade. Trial is pending as she's looking for technicalities to avoid trial. For how could a prison lifer cut a record, make music videos, hold concerts, bring women, sell drugs, and even have a photo op with her, all while she was Justice Sec? And this same critic was in an adulterous relationship with her driver, who in turn recommended the prisons director at that time?

This is why Du30's haters are turning the tables and doing all they can to make him appear murderous and corrupt. Whatever u read esp in Time, Newsweek and NYT is manufactured by their propagandists. They accuse Du30 of tyranny and dictatorship even as they are free to travel and spread lies. They accuse him of crimes and ask him to disprove the accusations instead of proving their allegations. Laughable! At least Du30 follows through with his threats to CRIMINALS, and that's what these Aquino carryovers are afraid of.

To those who've been brainwashed into believing that Duterte merely kills for no reason, read this: over 1.5M druggies surrendered voluntarily; over 200,000 arrested (alive!); and the 13k deaths u read in the papers include those that are not drug-related but being highlighted by biased (and probably paid) media and election losers as murders. Actual figures are only 4k in police encounters.
