While the US who created the conditions for this stupid war sits back and lets their proxies go at it for them along with destroying the EU energy security by blowing up Nord stream...A little bit more complex than Putin is evil....This war started a week or so after the Nord stream2 was completed...That is no coincidence!

You’ll have to explain this to me. Since I live 50% in Japan and 50% in America.

How did America set the conditions for Russia to lie to the entire world about their invasion plans for the Ukraine? Don’t forget to mention the make believe “Neo Nazi”

Are we supporting a small nation who is being invaded? Yes we are. Did we start this war, no absolutely not.

Sail back to your country and stop wasting taxpayers' money playing the little international warfare..

Speaking as an American tax payer, It’s money well spent!!!

We can sail where we want to in International waters..

solution is simple.pack your things and go back home.you are not needed and not welcomed here.come back but only as tourist, not occupying force.

So you’re ok with Japan changing it’s Constitution to allow a standing Army and Navy? Will you be ok with paying more taxes to pay for defense?

The US military is not a occupying force. If you’d like to see what occupying forces look like, just look at Russians in Ukraine. Words mean things.

At the end of the day it is exceptionally cheaper for Japan to host the US military bases than yo build, supply, pay for a modern standing Army and Navy.

I doubt most Americans will be tourists Of Okinawa. We have Hawaii!

Russia reclaims all the territories that were liberated from the Ukrainian regime, and were annexed to its territory..

I wonder if the Austrians sounded like you do after the Nazis annexed their country.

You can’t liberate the liberated.

perhaps the BRICS will give the dollar the coup de grâce and stop being the currency that dominates the economic world..

Perhaps and perhaps maybe one day China will be able to beat USA Basketball..

Neither are likely to happen.

Japan were also used for illegal wars in Iraq and Afghanistan killling hundreds of thousands of civilians if you want to be moralistic about it.

Once again 100% not true. Ask someone who was there instead of quoting something from RT Propaganda.

I just wish the The governor would focus on other issues, Schools and roads would be a great start. We refuse to send my son to public school in Okinawa because how bad they are.

Rainyday,US military service train their military in hunter killer, meaning the actually seek out their enemy to kill ,not like Ukrainain, have lost every battle in which they engage Russian in street fight

100% not True. I served over 20 years in the military. Never once did I hear the term “ hunter killer” used in the military.

BTW we Americans speak English, not American.

Dealerships in America are doing really well!! People are buying cars.

Most Americans are not over leveraged. It’s a common stereotype.

The US economy is far from stable right now and all the signs of its getting really bad really soon are plain as day.

Could of fooled me!!! I just moved back to America from Japan, business is good in America, every is normal.

I think a lot of people are wanting America to fail, but history as taught us time and time again how resilient Americans are.

I always enjoy reading “what the American public” are feeling and thinking.

There must be a website out there or something that informs on how we feel or think.

You can ask Russia about Americans leaving their their allies and friends in their time of need.

Posted in: Gov't to pursue U.S. base relocation in Okinawa despite Tamaki's win See in context

This is a huge fallacy! Less than 4% of the GDP of Okinawa comes from the US Military here.

GDP perhaps yes, but how much of the economy is dependent on the US Military for example.

When I buy a $2000.00 guitar at a second hand shop. Is my purchase marked as an American purchase and annotated as such?

How about when Americans go out to eat off base or staying at a resort. Is it annotated as an American?

Or when I’m paying my son’s tuition for his off days private international school? Half of his classmates are Japanese and the other half are American (my son is both).

Unfortunately is impossible to determine the exact percentage of American dollars being placed into the Okinawan economy.

can’t understand who is threatening who? USA has nukes at their bases in SK and Japan, and nuclear armed submarines off NK coast. USA and SK regularly practice invading NK. All because NK won the Korean War and USA lost.

Once again check out Google. Stay off state ran web sites and media companies. The UN didn’t exactly lose the Korean War. If they did there would be no South Korea.

The national bird of the United States is an eagle. An eagle is a predator that preys on small animals.

The large emblem behind the conferees, an eagle with olive leaves in one claw and arrows in the other, seem to suggest what this conference is for.

China is not a small squirrel as it used to be but has grown a big bear which an eagle cannot predate easily. What will it do? Offer olive leaves?

It’s obvious you have never seen one of these beautiful birds. You also failed to mention what’s the Eagle is holding in the other talon.

“The Founding Fathers made an appropriate choice when they selected the bald eagle as theemblem of the nation. The fierce beauty and proud independence of this great bird aptly symbolizes the strength and freedom of America”.

The amount of anti American hate on this site really get old.

It's in the crazed warmongers official doctrine! The Russian official doctrine states they will only use nukes in the event they are used against Russia first or in the event of an attack on Russia the Russian armed forces can't repel. The USA doctrine states among other things, they can be used in the event of surprising military developments.

What nuclear doctrine are you referring too? You comments are referring to a “Draft”. In 2010 U.S. President Barack Obama, in a Nuclear Posture Review, announced a new policy that is much stricter about when the U.S. would order a nuclear strike.

“The Crazed Warmongers” I’m assuming your referring to the United States of America. Even though it’s currently not at war?

@Saori, I find people who quote CCP talking points as funny.

Speaking as an American 99% don’t want war, however we won’t be bullied by the likes of Russia and China.

It easy to cherry pick statistics. You forgot a few The USA is the donates the most money to the United Nations, foreign aid, has the largest economy, leads the world in medical and Scientific research.

China caused this problem by making and weaponization of islands in the pacific, not respecting their neighbor’s boundaries, stealing lord know how much intellectual property from business.

The US, the nation that dropped nuclear bombs and then Agent Orange on Vietnam (and on Cambodia and Laos along border areas) while utilizing Okinawa (Ryukyu), is blighted with high homicide, 107,000 overdose deaths in a 12-month period, half a million homeless, mass killings, and endless race-baiting along with gender confusion.

This made me laugh. Lol it’s almost copy and paste from the CCP on Twitter.

So they start a war in our countries and smash them up, and then sell us expensive weapons after, like they did when Russia invaded Georgia in 2008. They also lost a 20 year war in Afghanistan where many people are illiterate and live in stone and villages. Can we really trust them? I would rather trust our neighbor China

How is Russia doing in the Ukraine?

I think Russia had an adventure in Afghanistan as well if my history book is right.

Not only Afghanistan, the US has aaaaalways betrayed those who serve it well when they cease to be interested, when the ship sinks they are the first to flee..

I love it when people talk about Afghanistan with out ever stepping foot in Afghanistan. Especially when they talk in absolutes.
