I love her hair, Japanese princesses have the most beautiful hair! Megan has nice hair too, but just not as beautiful

I also felt like other posters here, that this was the most beautiful weddings ever, my wife insisted on a Christian style wedding...I really regret this now, nothing beats the serene beauty and simplicity of a Shinto wedding! Now I'm waiting for their first born child, my daughter Aiko needs a sister or a brother!

If you can accept major data breaches then by all means buy a Google phone

You're right, it happened to me, they stole 3002307 yen from me and hard headed idiot that I am, I purchased a Galaxy S9 after my contract finished and this time they stole 18 pictures and an excel file with all my favorite ramen shops in Sapporo. This happened to a friend of mine too, but in his case they accessed his "puni puni" account and stole five puni puni's! I learned my lesson well and I will never ever buy another android again! More major breaches than a Swiss cheese!

Why? Because the keeper was where he shouldn't have been?

We have to set an example for the other tigers, lions, wolves, elephants, hippos, sharks, spiders and other naughty animals! The only animals who can kill people are...people!

Posted in: Which do you think is better: Apple's iOS or Android? See in context

Apple has proved that limitations are sometimes a good thing, they decide when the people are ready for a new function. Waterproof? Until apple made their phones ip86 no one would ever consider taking their phones into the shower. Big screens? Apple made them cool and convinced us that they were cool and useful. Double camera? Until apple introduced their superior product, one was enough. OLED? Apple convinced us that LED screens were superior, especially with the words"retina"stamped on them...but apple showed the world that they could improve on that technology and introduced super duper OLED, blowing away the competition and making OLED mainstream. SD cards? Apple proved that we didn't need them, instead they introduced iCloud, a far superior way to back up your pics and music. Remove headphone port? Again apple lead the way, proving that we didn't need those, instead they introduced the highly fashionable superior sounding i earphone thingies.

If we just follow apple, the world would be a better place!

Posted in: Women in management at Japanese firms still a rarity: poll See in context

Many men don't have managing positions either, if there's a open position and 9 men and one woman applies it would sexist to hand the woman this job based on her gender.

Men also often support their families, a basic practice in Japan, whereas career women live on double incomes or often chose not to marry. Supporting a family is better for society (children=future).

Still I think the best candidate should get the job, but pushing women in managing positions isn't the way.

Posted in: Apple iPhones get bigger and pricier; Watch turns to health See in context

Since switching to Bluetooth headphones, I've never once wanted to use wired headphones, or had the need. A headphone jack would be entirely useless for me.

Bluetooth headphones have a far shorter life span than regular wired headphones, and not all cars are equipped with audio blue tooth.

Posted in: Apple iPhones get bigger and pricier; Watch turns to health See in context

Apple is continuing the trend of less for more and blatantly ripping off it's most loyal customers.., no headphone jack, no fingerprint sensor, a huge notch, no dongle (!?), no fast charger included. Why can't the world richest company not include a 9 dollar dongle and a 29 dollar charger?

Sure Bluetooth headphones work fine, but have their limitations, I don't want to be handicapped on a 1000 dollar costing device.

In the meantime the press is going gaga over the new emojis, the face scanner (how did we ever live without it..a fingerprint scanner does the same job without increasing the size of the notch and the price). The increased speed (Facebook opens a nano second faster).

The greed of this company is just painful and still people will bite the bullet and gobble them up ...

What about the young man with his bad back? What about the young woman with her bad knees? Y'all assume that the pregnant ladies and elderly are the one who deserve priority...there are no stickers for the silent invisible sufferers.

There is often more than meets the eye.

When you talk about 'luck' you should mention the stupidity of the French goalie as well

> No that was just stupidity...

You're reasoning clearly shows your lack of knowledge of football... Even the best teams have to attack in this kind of "loser gets nothing" situation, creating huge chances for fast countering teams like the French and Belgium. I wrote imo, you should have written IMHO... Back to cricket Net.

Posted in: France beats Croatia 4-2 to win 2nd World Cup title See in context

I think you guys watched a different game, Croatia was the better team imo, it was just after the two unlucky goals against them, that they had to attack leaving space available for the French counters. France was good, Croatia was better, but thanks to both teams for a great final!

Congrats to England, I fell asleep during the first half...team Ikea was just rubbish and their effort not worth a place in the best 8. Worldcups are not won by just defending, I think Sweden didn't get that note.

Good game only to be let down by the theatrics of Neymar. Putting Messi, Ronaldo, band Neymar in the same sentence...is a huge insult to Messi. If Brasil is lucky enough to make it into the final, than I hope the Dutch referee will be chosen to whistle that game...the only referee who doesn't put up with that crap.

Posted in: Not having children is selfish, says LDP Secretary-General Nikai See in context

Well they created a generation of spoiled spineless kids, kids who live with their parents until they're 30 or older. They have no idea what responsibility is. Japan is a society of grown up kids not ready to make any commitment. Things like a lack of kindergarten, maternity leave nado nado, are just poor excuses for not being ready to do anything responsibile like a relation or having kids.

In other countries Young folks suffer the same or likewise problems, but they are ready to take the next step in life, whereas the Japanese just never seem to grow up.

Posted in: Influential Japanese businesswoman says she is in same-sex relationship See in context

It's worrisome to read the reactions on this site, the ignorance towards homosexuality is mind blowing. So much hidden disapproval, so many anti-gay closet cases.. Wow.

The fact that people wonder why she came out, the amount of irritation expressed by many of you for this fact shows that influential people do need to come out! If the article was about her third marriage to a man, some folks would have said "congratulations", but most would have ignored the news..

Congrats to her, it's not easy to come out in this gender role enforcing society... Sad that in this time of day people still have to announce their sexual preferences, They make their announcements to help and encourage similar minded folks, because they know that the line between tolerance and acceptance is still a thick one.
