Maybe it has something to do with the Philadelphia District Attorney's policy of releasing violent criminals into the community. The DA, Larry Krasner, was elected with funding from one of George Soros's front organizations.

I have no doubt that the people will eventually triumph.

Not just over this terrible junta, but over all the dictators like Xi, Putin etc.

The Myanmar military has murdered 330 people. The US has murdered millions in Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan... and most here are OK with that.

Roy Spencer is a kook who supports "intelligent design" over the theory of evolution. I would rather trust the vast majority of the scientific community than what he says.

This is just a graph, raw data only--no commentary or narrative.

You obviously have no idea what your grandchildren will have to face if climate change isn't stopped. There is no hyperbole here. Please educate yourself.

Reliable satellite data on average atmospheric temperatures, available since 1979 show a one-fifth of a degree temperature rise (over 40+ years)..

Good on Biden! However, he must know Russia's wealth and power is based primarily on its huge oil, gas and coal reserves, and on its global expansion aimed at increasing its control of oil, gas and their shipment.

Thankfully, US and EU sanctions have forced Russia to diversify its economy away from energy production.

I think it's mainly envy, but sometimes hate.

The above a perspective of those from a majority culture (somewhere) refusing to accept the reality racism permeates US society.

Once again the global far right are denying racism is real.

Once again the global far right are making claims reasonable people wouldn't believe.

The only discrimination/racism I see is against Asians, who, for example, are excluded from elite US universities by quotas. Other groups get preferential treatment--affirmative action. (except working-class white males)

It is a free country with a free press, religious freedom, a vigorous political opposition and highly contested elections. In short, Taiwan is everything mainland China isn't but could be absent the CCP.

TAIPEI (Reuters) NOVEMBER 18, 2020- Taiwan refused on Wednesday to renew the license of a news channel widely seen as pro-China, effectively shutting it down, citing evidence of interference from a Beijing-friendly tycoon amid fears over China’s campaign to win support on the island.

Tulsi Gabbard: “She kept people in prison beyond their sentences to use them as cheap labor for the state of California.”

The facts: It’s false to say Harris kept prisoners incarcerated beyond their sentences. Lawyers in Harris’ attorney general office did unsuccessfully argue against the early release of prisoners, citing needed inmate firefighting labor — but Harris said they did so without her knowledge and publicly criticized the statement at the time.

The facts; Harris’ lawyers insisted that the order would cause a void in the prison labor pool that paid incarcerated people between 8 and 37 cents an hour, the Times reported.

The US oligarch-controlled media goes on and on about 'forced labor' in Xinjiang. The US prison system, by far the largest in the world, dominated by private prisons, pays prisoners $10-$20 per MONTH for slave labor jobs! K Harris, vice president, prevented prisoners from being released from jail after completing their sentences because California had a contract with private prisons to provide a minimum quota of prison slave laborers to the private prison companies.

"Komeito, run by the Buddhist Soka Gakkai, and a member of the government at the time was sensitive to issues of religious freedom and resisted more aggressive action against AUM."

Pulling things out of thin air.

Aum's animosity towards the Soka Gakkai is well documented. Some Aum members had tried to assassinate Soka Gakkai leaders earlier, and the initial plan for that fateful day was to wrap sarin gas vials in Soka Gakkai newspapers so that suspicion falls on them instead of Aum.

Your knowledge of this subject is far superior to mine. I admit I probably got this one wrong.

A great read about Aum is Cult at the end of the World. It details the rise of Aum, the NPA’s failure to take action despite being begged to do so by people kidnapped by Aum, the attack, and its aftermath. It’s sickening how many chances the NPA had to take action that would have prevented the gas attack.

I think there are two reasons why the NPA were reluctant to take action against AUM.

AUM bribed many politicians. You don't get permission to import 2 Russian military helicopters (for the purpose of spraying sarin) without high-level support, for example.

Kometo, run by the Buddhist Soka Gakkai, and a member of the government at the time was sensitive to issues of religious freedom and resisted more aggressive action against AUM.

The US cannot compete with China. Period.

Agreed, the average income in China is about USD10k compared with USD30K in the US. Hard to compete with that as a cost base. That is even excluding the spill over costs of pollution that companies there don't need to pay, the stolen technology, and disposable workforce.

Cost of living is also far lower in China. Disposable workforce? China has nothing to teach the US on this.

Discrimination restricting Asian students in top US universities comes from so-called 'liberals'.

No, it doesn’t because there is no racism restricting Asian students from top US universities.

Simply not true. The limit is 20% and includes both Asian-Americans and foreign Asian applicants. In the 1930's to the 50's, the limit on Jews in Ivy League universities was 5%.

In reality a lot of the attacks, perhaps a majority, have nothing to do with 'white supremacy'. This sad case may be more to do with sex addiction than anything else.US

US fake news media propaganda line--whenever a Black is the victim of inter-racial crime, it is a hate crime. Whenever a white or Asian is the victim, it is something else. A Twitter tweet by the murderer in the Atlanta shootings (since disappeared) indicated he hated Asians.
