Posted in: Ex-pet shop employee arrested for dumping dead dogs in Tochigi See in context

I think that this is just a tiny peek into the world of humans using animals for profit. There must be thousands of reputable breeders and pet store owners in Japan that don't get in the news. But there are also people like this who want to sell puppies on a corporate level. This is the byproduct of that business. As a society we are all responsible for this kind of stuff. In this case people who adopt pets from shelters and rescue agencies wouldn't be held accountable but for those of us who expect there to be adorable puppies and kitties every month of the year depending on our desire to buy them we have to accept that this kind of horrible byproduct is unavoidable.

Posted in: Video of pick-up artist grabbing Japanese women on street triggers online protests See in context

All the comments and the articles make japan seem like this quivering weakling that needs to be protected from the evil barbarian foreigner. Just because this guy says something doesn't necessarily mean that it's what he does. Mean of all nationalities talk big about their bravado when it comes to women. Japanese women are strong independent people and can decide for themselves what is appropriate and what isn't. We don't need to set up some geographical barrier to protect the wholesomeness of the country folk. Doesn't japan have a culture of 'nanpa' artists? Don't get me wrong, I am showing this guy no love, I am not defending him... I just find the reaction ridiculous.

There is life after work. You can leave your job if you are being mistreated. They should hammer this into Japanese kids when they are young.

Shame on everyone from the webmaster to the VP of marketing. Disgusting... Not one person at Amazon.co.jp raised a flag? Asked a question? shame shame shame... Child abuse isn't 'cultural' its not a different experience if you are from a different country. So what if there are smelly secret specialty stores in Japan that sell children's souls.. Amazon is an international corporation profiting off of child porn.

I always wondered why Toyota never put their foot down and refuse to deliver the pickup trucks to ISIS. Granted there is evidence that another government bought them but it must have been obvious to the Toyota salespeople where they were going. Toyota's badge is as evident as the black flag with white writing

This article is strange in that it identifies and targets specific and huge companies and accuses them of sexual and other horrible harassment just based on someone's account of their experience. No woman should ever be harassed. Never ever. But should a huge company be labeled as a lawless gang of harassers just because someone had a bad experience?

A bit of creative writing? * An annoying argument ensued.

Although the young clerk should be commended for sticking up for himself, his forceful tones against a female of the species upset the other DQN greatly, causing one of them to hurl their drink at the man.*

sounds like a detective novel. I wonder who was annoyed by the argument? The reporter?

Posted in: 25-year-old teacher arrested for molesting student in Yokohama See in context

That's really sad. For the victims but also kids need men and women to teach them in school. The next step is distrust of all men in the education system which also victimizes kids because they are taught to distrust half of society in general. Punishment in an institution or forced labor is nothing compared to what a victim of abuse or crime has to suffer.
