I hope that isn't what the GOP is betting on to resolve the situation, because that's not going to work :)

If an American said she was a Mexican beauty it would sound normal to me, because they're just talking about her heritage not her nationality.

I think I did answer your question. It's as silly as asking why Sony has the right to charge you extra for adding a warranty to your tv. Because they see a reason to. Don't like it don't buy it.
Oh and your data about govt employees is flawed. Federal govt employees make much more but state employees make much less. These employees are state employees.

You're forced to pay taxes and forced to support your representatives in the same way are you not? Can you say, I don't like Obama so I'm not paying federal taxes? No you can't. Could the military say "we don't agree with gwb so we're not going to war."?
In the words of the GOP. Noone forces them to be teachers. There are non-union states where they can teach.

The military is very, very different. The UCMJ covers what you can and can't do... People who enter the military know they are giving up rights. All that being said noone would go after the military and try to screw them over without extreme consequences that would make this little strike seem like a sweet sixteen birthday party.

Thinking even further, this is really bad for the GOP. Did they really want to pitch this battle in Wisconsin? Wouldn't have some other state been a better choice?

No, "the recipient company" is not the taxpayer. They are the companies the teachers buy goods and services from. Those companies will suffer and have to lay people off because less of their goods and services are being bought. There is no way around the negative effect on hiring.

The taxpaying voters made it clear that they wanted lower taxes, a balance budget and a BIG cut in the deficit.
They made it clear they wanted J-O-B-S. Nothing else..

Oh and the buying I'm talking about is things like groceries, appliances, cars and stuff like that that people (incising public employees) buy with their paychecks. That's the buying that will be reduced.

Not true, you just reduce govt borrowing, there will be no effect on taxes. If they quit then the go on unemployment or have no wages. In either case they will stop spending as much and hiring will go down.
