Funny article. Fares are triple the usual prices from Japan. It’s the insatiable greed of ANA and JAL and the incompetence of politicians to make prices reasonable. There is absolutely no justification why the prices are so high, none.

But then again people will just sigh, suck it up and say shoganai…

Santiago-San yes he did, in fact there were many crimes and lynch mobs against the Russian majority (!) in the eastern regions. But our media doesn’t report this - it’s mare Russian propaganda.

Also the “unprovoked” invasion of civilian territory is factually complete wrong. There it was basically a war zone with Ukraine building up a massive force with billions of US and EU cash. It is not “Putin’s war” but a full scale proxy war between NATO and Russia.

This conflict is caused by (deeply corrupt) 2 parties and both of them have approximately the same fault and responsibility. If someone believes only Putin is the devil, get your facts right and stop believing blindly what the BBC is saying.

Of course they “finally” made up for the losses of the last 2-3 years and we are paying for this, dearly.

The greediest airline on the planet!

Shame on you ANA!

If it wasn’t for the miles I still have (which they won’t let you even use on international routes) I’d never fly with them again.

Recycling and recycling. I guess Kadokawa did the best bid to get yet again the same director chosen. Oh wait I forgot the other one, Koreeda. But I’m can’t be him this year, like every year…

It doesn’t matter how much they lower the prices the cars still look just ugly compared some of the competition.

Tesla, another American bubble of hype bursting.

Well put 藤原just who is gonna challenge them? The Insta-food-picture-addicted youth? The mündige Bürger watching the one and only state channel 24/7? I hope for change but don’t quite see how it could happen, sadly.

So nothing changes. The rules have practically always been on voluntary basis. In the end the collective pressure wins, masks will stay on in Japan for the next years… same as all politics in Japan, vague and indecisive.

@yubaru: the greediest of them all ANA. Any flight to Europe now is twice as expensive- fact.

Posted in: ANA, JAL see profits soar on travel recovery See in context

Of course the the profits soar when international tickets are 100% more expensive than before Covid. Again Japanese people are being ripped off big time. The same ticket costs at least 30% less if you buy if from eg Europe to Japan. Not even talking about the fantastic ANA mileage club where you can’t book an international flight whatsoever.

Oh but we have war and energy prices are up. Are they? Japan is still buying cheap energy from Russia so why are the prices up 100%?

I have no words for this greed and the contempt for normal people who can’t afford to get out of Japan after 3 years imprisonment. Shame on you!!!

Posted in: EU official says Russia shifting war focus to NATO and the West See in context

I mean a ceasefire to begin with Strangerland. Both parties act now like angry little kids, killing thousands of people on both sides to feed their ego.

The chances that Russia will simply just go home are as small as Ukraine winning the war and expel ALL Russians from the Donbas and Crimea (that’s what the genius’ Zelensky’s conditions are). So we are looking at 10 years plus war and millions of deaths.

There must be a hybrid solution. And this can only be achieved by serious talks - and compromises. Not by violence.

Sadly it’s exactly the opposite, the EU is now funding the war. You can’t stop a war by sending more weapons, especially against Russia who has almost endless resources to continue.

Get the table and negotiate!! Is the only way to stop this madness. But also this is sadly blocked by the wanna be Rambo Zelensky. Of course what Putin does seems barbaric but what Zelensky does is at least equally irresponsible.

I can see it coming even after May 8, which is basically summer, everyone will keep wearing those things anyway. Jeez, I knew it. Oh Japan, you are truly behind and stay behind.

The most idiotic thing I’ve ever heard.

Those politicians are already a joke at home but on international grounds they are just embarrassing.

Posted in: Japan reports 245,542 new coronavirus cases See in context

The number is so high coz the Japanese government bought a certain amount of tests kits they have to use all up. It is literally the only country (with Korea) that is still counting the numbers. Total pointlessness. And the people who died would have died anyway, with all my respect.

Japan will continue to torment its population so that everybody constantly lives in a state of paranoia... it’s just so irrational and tiring.

Move on. Drop the mask bs. Like the rest of the world. It’s just a kaze by now.
