In any high density apartment living these issues are bound to happen.

Those who can stand their thin walls then maybe look for one with thicker walls or get your own detached home.

Wherever in the world you stay good neighbours are treasure.

Posted in: Tokyo Games cancelation likely to cost Japan ¥1.81 tril: Nomura See in context

The problem is that IOC is the one who can make the bigger decision to cancel.

The government canceling would mean a breach of contract and a lose-lose situation for the government.

Base on how much salary the IOC committee are getting and the multiple corruptions riddled with it, I'm all for boycotting them.

The base story of Kimetsu no Yaiba is kind of just another shonen manga, the real rival is Ufotable.

Ufotable made Kimetsu no Yaiba great, otherwise the manga it would never reach this level of attention.

Looks like the rest of the world will get more data about masks and vaccination effectiveness with USA creating so many test scenarios, so thanks i guess.

Here's an interesting read about why there was some confusion about masks within the scientific community.

Why does studying something automatically make you a "communist"?

People who have read the Bible or Quran does not automatically make them a believer.

The world is not just capitalism/communism and studying all trains of thought allow people to make better decisions. People are studying different systems as capitalism is obviously causing a problem due to the need of endless growth and consumption.

Posted in: Japan's child population hits record low after 40 years of decline See in context

The population doesn't have to keep increasing, a balance between the resources and population have to be managed.

Japan is at least one of the better nations in terms of protecting nature's resource with some caveats of like coal usage and fishing.

Despite how people feel fruits and vegetables are expensive, I feel that those prices are exactly priced right to keep farming alive and not making massive farmlands just to sell cheap but create huge wastages.

Just to add on, no one says the masks is 100% effective. But by doing so it can reduce the viral load which can affect how serious the infection can get.

Posted in: Man arrested for punching passerby who asked him to wear mask See in context

The evidence of masks usefulness have been done so many times.

Given that aerosol can transmit it is pretty obvious that masks work.

The masks non requirement initially was based on the assumptions that it can only be transmitted through droplets.

Selfish people is going to be selfish anyways, thankfully most Japan residents are socially responsible.

Posted in: Why do you think so many Japanese people (and foreigners, too) continue to go out and about in Japan's major cities despite the surge in coronavirus cases? See in context

Cause there's no one way to it.

If the lock down is to stringent the business suffer and you'll get deaths due to social issues.

But if you do nothing then there's no sense of fear which causes complacency and end up with high infections and people doing stupid stuff like hosting large events without precautions.

The government is putting part of the risk management to oneself which seems to be reasonable in managing the sentiments but not great in controlling infections.

Posted in: Japan to allow use of insulin syringes for COVID-19 vaccines See in context

For those that don't understand, basically when you finish injection there's usually a little left in the syringe, the so called 7-shot syringe have very little "dead space" such that with the miniscule amount saved from all the 6 shots you have enough left for the 7th shot.

Posted in: Swiss voters narrowly back ban on full face coverings in public places See in context

I'm mixed with this, while i have no issues with them covering up when they are outside but if they ever enter an establishment i feel the owner of an establishment have the rights to dictate to a certain level that does not violate the national laws to protect their establishments.

It is also why most high security locations and financial establishments do not allow sunglasses as it weakens their security protocols.

So i'm kind of against the law but the law should be tweaked to allow establishments to dictate to a certain extend so their security cameras can fulfil the role of protecting the people inside.
