People it is a global problem come time June you will read and hear about many being laid off from work. Many of the tech companies in the US is already paying off people and it will get worse come time June. The WORLD is bankrupt and history has told us the ONLY way to get monetary control under order is WAR that creates jobs and at the same time get rid of people. We have many poor country and countries with big economies where the people can bare eat and sleep because of the cost of living. There's too many people on this earth and people are not staying in one place they are following the money trail like animals follow their food and water sources. This is only just the beginning buckle up because it going to be a hell of a ride!

I don't get it if the Yaks did this why would they kill the hand that feeds them. Getting rid of a person who owned 14 restaurants only means they get less money. Perhaps the criminal that did this crime is making it appear as if it was a YAK act just to throw the police off of their trail.

@Yrral I think you Goggled half of the answer I can some what agree with you but, in America yes any man who has been proven to be the father of a child is "suppose" to support the child as a legal requirement in the state of law. He is expected to do this but some do not regardless of the law, and those who do not if the mother takes them to court and they have a "Child Support Record" filed then life can be hell for that father. He basically loses, he can't have a drivers license and if he works anywhere his wages will be garnished and if he get money of any kind income taxes etc, all will be taken and given to the mother. The tab continues with interest. I feel sorry for the fathers because some get so far behind and the courts are not friendly to the men that they can't get out of debt so they work under the table and get creative income. On the other hand if you have a father who pays his monthly support it will stop depending on what the court order says, some say 18 but it can go as high as 21 years old.

@elephant200 Nothing changed, regardless of Hello or Hi, the statement was we don't recognize your claim and all you can do is watch!!!

took place just hours after a call between the Chinese and U.S. defense chiefs.

*When someone say "Hi" or "Hello" to you, you must reply in the appropriate manner to make the others acknowledge you are a well manner person. This is our excellent traditional teaching in Chinese culture. That fighter jet is how we say "Hi" to old buddy!** That fighter jet meant nothing as the article states before China sent a jet out to "MONITOR" AGAIN and that is all they can do is monitor, regardless if its your traditional teaching is Chinese culture, if you want to know what Americans would say to your response "Ok We have bad manners in this case so what are you going to do about it" If its your house defend it, if not we just walked through your Shat and we don't recognize your claim!! Keep watching, keep monitoring LOL if China was that bad why don't they shoot flares at the US aircraft if they feel they are in their airspace. They shoot water cannons at other country boats when they claim they encroach on their so called claimed territories, China only pick fights with countries they know they can beat. Is that what you call traditional teaching in Chinese culture only pick a fight you can win? Wanna be a big dog but have no teeth!!

Posted in: China sends fighter jets to shadow U.S. Navy plane over Taiwan Strait See in context

China's military described the flight as "public hype", adding it had sent fighters to monitor and warn the U.S. plane and "deal with it in accordance with the law and regulations".

What law? A claim China has made. Evidently China doesn't understand law and regulations because the US said "By operating within the Taiwan Strait in accordance with international law, the United States upholds the navigational rights and freedoms of all nations," it said in a statement. "The aircraft's transit of the Taiwan Strait demonstrates the United States' commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific."

**The last time the U.S. Navy announced a Poseidon had flown through the strait, in December, China's military said it had also sent fighter jets to monitor and warn the aircraft. **All China can do is monitor, had it been some other country that they like to pick on and hit them with water cannons they would have perhaps shot them down, in this case all they can do is watch.

The latest Poseidon mission came shortly after U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin spoke with Chinese Defense Minister Dong Jun, the first engagement the two have had in more than a year as the two countries seek to restore military ties. Just a meeting to let Mr. Jun know nothing has changed

@kohakuebisu Land in Japan is very expensive this is the reason most developers build up. Its not whether you approve of ones living conditions or lifestyle its just your opinion as well as mine. You mentioned mansions being expensive, this kind of problem is not just related to people who can afford, it happens where families with lower or middle incomes live. The same type of accident can happen anywhere, I question your logic, homes are very expensive and you say a house would be much better for a child's well being, not everyone can own a home, hell some can barely rent an apartment. Besides a child can trip and fall whats your point!!!

RIP

I can't say I approve of people with kids living in a luxury twenty-plus story apartment. Newbuild tower mansions are super expensive, and their occupants can easily afford a house if they wanted one. A house would be much better for the child's wellbeing, never mind their safety. Even a low-rise apartment would be better.

Overcrowded schools Jesus can't read so native English speaking kids in classroom gets less attention because the teachers have to provide more attention to the new students. Hospitals are over crowded they have no insurance therefore taxpayers have to foot the bill, DMV is over crowded, homelessness when most can not find a home they either live on the streets or move into a home and become squatters which US laws makes it hard to evict them. With more illegals coming in rent rates. The gangs come in and you have more cars being stolen, home burglaries, drug dealing and prostitution. Yes we have heard about what the people who want these people in the country but no one is talking about how they are affecting the citizens of the country. If you asked the average American today they would say they would be better off being illegal because they get more benefits than the average American.

Posted in: Ohtani's ex-interpreter charged with stealing $16 mil from baseball star in sports betting case See in context

First of we are all internet reporters where we read about a small town boy who loved baseball and became a grown man who has always ate and slept baseball. Money was never important to him from what I have read and personally seen he comes from a small town in Japan money did not make him nor did it change him. I am saying this based on accounts from what I have read and what people from his home town has said that watched him grow into the person he is today. Here you have a guy with a squeaky clean image who doesn’t understand what all the fuss is about his own money that he made and have no account of where it’s going. I said from day one the guy who had the voice is the crook he is the interpreter he sees and knows everything Ohtani does yes he is a Japanese American one who took advantage of a small town boy/man and used his urban street knowledge to enrich himself through deception. In Japan they say it’s hard to find friends I am only assuming it took sometime for ohtani to trust such a guy with basically his life. People can say what they want to say but my perception of ohtani is a guy who could careless about the money he is a guy that loves doing what he do best and that is playing baseball and being good at it. Here’s a guy who only makes people around him better it’s obvious when he was on the Angels his team mates asked him Sho why are you driving your moms old van you make more money than us ohtani shrugged it off. Here you have many people saying there is no way Ohtani didn’t know about what was going on I would say it’s those people who are far away from knowing his life style background and where he came from. Logic tells me if they read about his background prior to making an assumption I am sure perhaps they would have a change of mind. I am saying this based on first hand knowledge I am a baseball scout and we scout out all the players I watch this guy his habits from the dug out to the field his routine is the same clock work. He is a creature of habit. I have seen him out many times in Newport Beach nothing flashy now if you really want to ask a question that is, ask when is this guy going to change? His character and persona is very calm I personally don’t think he knows how big his star is because he just says I’m ohtani!! Small town guy just having fun living my baseball life.

Just as I said in a previous post this guy was his interpreter he was Ohtani mouth peace and I would not be surprised if he put language in the contract that suited his own personal interest. This guy was nothing but a fox guarding the chickens. I read and article that you could rare see them apart even on off days. Now I can see why this guy had to cover his own tracks. When he spoke to the dodgers he lied that’s what made me think about the paper trail no telling what Ohtani signed because he trusted this guy.

On another note I find it very hard for Ohtani's accountants to not notice this supposedly illegal activity. I say this because two week ago I went to the car dealership with my son in law he is a well known professional athlete he was purchasing a electrical SUV Maybach what I thought would be a 2 hour deal took more than that. His agent had to get involved, the bank was called and its not that he didn't have the money and Its not that they didn't know who he was he is a very high profile athlete. It was just all the checks and balances that had to be checked and cleared on a all cash money deal. So I am scratching my head asking how did he NOT Know about money moving out of his account. I know everyone is different but I saw this first hand and seeing how this works, I am still confused, because my son in law has millions and is one of the highest paid at his position. I am not saying Ohtani did anything wrong what I am questioning is what is his accountants doing? Where are the checks and balances at, because I saw it two weeks ago!

There is a lot of money involved. Baseball is not the #1 sport in america they are losing fans and if the face of baseball goes down think about what it would do to the gates!!!

@NotThe One ARE YOU SURPRISE AT WHAT THE CHINESE DO! ANYTHING TO GAIN THEM FAVOR THEY WILL IMITATE AND COPY!! That is the Chinese way When you sleep they creep before you know it they claim it!

Chinese people like many other Asian countries have no problem being racist against other people especially people of African descent. Now that they perceive themselves as being treated like Black people, it is a problem.

"It is not a problem, until it happens to you!"

One Chinese reviewer likened the series to "a plate of General Tso's chicken", a Westernised Chinese dish that can be used as a metaphor for inauthenticity and cultural misunderstanding.

Interesting but accurate description of appropriation!

Many commenters questioned the motive behind the decision to keep the villain Chinese while the heroes are mostly played by Westerners.

Once again, welcome to be treated like Black people. Has anyone noticed all the Black people in the new DC movies and Disney Star Wars on Disney+ shows being promoted as the main antagonist to all the White protagonists?

That being said, I enjoyed the series despite the plot holes.
