Japan does have several spy satellites and the US has a lot of them. Of course they can detect this kind of NK activities rather easily. I guess it doesn't necessarily mean GSOMIA is useless but Japan and the US are capable enough to monitor what NK is doing.
This time, these missiles landed away from Japan's territory and nothing like imminent threat for the US. Not sure if Trump reacts strongly here. I know Japan is not going to do anything aggressive even if the missiles go over Japan.

While some of them are praising Moon for this decision, I dont know what kind of benefit SK can get from this. When it comes to security, both Japan and SK would be OK as long as the US is backing up them.
GSOMIA is an agreement not only with Japan but also with the US. Did they do this just to show their anger against Japan and want the US to involve this dispute? I would think the US doesn't want to get involved in this, nor take any side here.

Thoughts and prayers are not enough anymore. US politicians need to come up with some measures to prevent this kind of thing from happening this often. I dont know where these "don't politicize tragedy" things come from, but it is their job...
I dont think banning gun like Japan does is not realistic in the US, but still there should have been done something.

It's also kinda interesting to see the US that occupied Japan after WWII and deterred them from re-militarizing themselves now pushes Japan to militarize to protect their own country.
I thought people in the US wouldn't be happy about the idea of letting Japan have strong military again. But it seems its not the case.

This is what prime minister Murayama said in 1995 (https://www.mofa.go.jp/announce/press/pm/murayama/9508.html)
"During a certain period in the not too distant past, Japan, following a mistaken national policy, advanced along the road to war, only to ensnare the Japanese people in a fateful crisis, and, through its colonial rule and aggression, caused tremendous damage and suffering to the people of many countries, particularly to those of Asian nations. In the hope that no such mistake be made in the future, I regard, in a spirit of humility, these irrefutable facts of history, and express here once again my feelings of deep remorse and state my heartfelt apology. Allow me also to express my feelings of profound mourning for all victims, both at home and abroad, of that history."
This is what prime minister Koizumi said in 2005 (https://www.mofa.go.jp/announce/announce/2005/8/0815.html)
"In the past, Japan, through its colonial rule and aggression, caused tremendous damage and suffering to the people of many countries, particularly to those of Asian nations. Sincerely facing these facts of history, I once again express my feelings of deep remorse and heartfelt apology, and also express the feelings of mourning for all victims, both at home and abroad, in the war. I am determined not to allow the lessons of that horrible war to erode, and to contribute to the peace and prosperity of the world without ever again waging a war."

This kind of move just shows SK government has been doing this comfort woman thins with political motives. As long as they are using this issue to boost their approval rating, the issue won't go anywhere. I kinda feel sorry for actual comfort women who have been politically exploited for a long time.
It is almost funny to see someone think this issue could have been solved if Japan has showed some "respect" ( whatever it is).

Do they tweet this every day?
No they don't. Their tweets are generally ads. I would think it does not matter of the translation. The Japan Unit says something like this on 8/9 is not pleasing at all. If this tweet was made by like the US Disney, no one cares so much about it. But Japan Disney did this? it was very poor decision to say the least.

Of course not. People in the US tries to justify it saying Japan started war and they ended by this. I can say that is true. Japan is the one that attacked the US in the first place. But, do they really think this fact can justify killing a million ordinary people in Japan? Hiroshima and Ngasaki were not major military bases and People there were likely to have very little to do with Japan military. Also, I would think people there has nothing to do with the decision on starting the war. Even during the war time, that kind of massacre cannot be justifiable. Having said that, the tragedy happened 70 years ago and Japan and the US have a good relationship now. I would think Japan need not demand apology or something. They can move on for the future.

Do you really think some one from DPJ/JCP/SDP/JIP do any better than LDP and Abe? I highly doubt it and I think many Japanese citizen doubt too. They are not so positive about LDP and Abe, but so much negative about other parties. That voter turnout tells it...
Anyway, tax hike will occur regardless of the ruling party. DPJ is the one first proposed it when they were the ruling party.

Even if some politicians are trying to deny it, the official stance of the Japanese government toward this problem has never changed. When some US politicians show racism, does it mean the US government officially approves racism? When some German politicians make pro-Nazi remarks, does it mean the official stance of the German government is pro-nazi. Of course not. I dont know why this logic does works when talk about Japanese government.

Even if the U.S. killed more than 10000 people in mideast, that kind of brutal acts are not OK. It's obvious, period.

When talk about this kind of topic, many people talk as if digital downloads are advanced, always better than real copies and Japan is so behind. IMO, if you have enough room, why not buy physical copies? You can rip musics from CD with much better quality and use the CD to listen to the music. I cannot understand why some people are crazy about downloading when you can buy physical copies at the similar prices. I think Japan's favors to real copies is not bad at all.

If Abe said opossite, it would make the news. But this kind of news is not going to grab headline in ohter places than japan, making them believe Japan has never accepted, apologized and compensated over the hisotry. I don't know what Ave really think and want to do, but the official position of the Japanese government has never denied the history. If you go to the web site of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, you can find it clearly states that Comfort woman, Nanjing Massacre and something like these things cannot be denied. I known some politician are trying to change the view. But, the official position has never changed. Even if some American politician make racist comments, it does not mean the the US government officially allows racism. The same can be said for Japanease government.

The earth is getting warm now and the concentration of green house gases is getting higher. The point scientists are split on is whether it is due to the human activity or not and what the future is like if this is continuing. It is highly likely that the earth continues to get warm. But the earth would have a strong buffering effect or a slight change in the earth trajectory would make the temp lower. Since there are too many factors scientists need to think in order to predict the future, it is difficult to say the global warming is 100% fact or fiction. But I think the possibility is really high.

I dont think they are blaming foreign players in this case. It is true that many foreign players are showing terrific performances this year, while not so many Japanese players are showing better performances than last year. Blanco, Balentien, Murton, Bowker and Lee Dae-Ho are showing nearly their best performances in NPB. Many new comers, like Abreu, Luna, McGehee, LaHair and AJ, are also doing really good, probably more than expected.
But I agree about the HR season record. It is ridiculous to worry that a foreign player rewrite the record...
