That's too bad because whenever I wanted to smoke outdoor and could not, I used to rush to the nearest elementary school to light up... Damn Japan, you are changing!

But Minke Whales are not.
Let's read the article.
".. the Japanese whalers brought ashore one of their first minke after the resumption of commercial hunting"
Let's read further:
Japan's fisheries agencies has set a quota for commercial whale hunting through December of 227 whales -- 52 minke, 150 Bryde's and 25 sei whales.

and a separate trilogy by "Last Jedi" director Rian Johnson.
No please no no no... Not Rian Johnson...
including a trilogy by David Benioff and D.B
Again no, they are demonstrating that without GRRM original material they can't write characters and logical story lines...
As a fan I want Star wars to rest in peace in our hearts an on bluray. Write original stuff guys!!

Problem with rock music, is that it requires a minimum of music savviness (not as much as jazz or classical of course) but still need the ability to appreciate a nice guitar riff, bass line or drum solo and angry lyrics. Today R&B and mainstream hip hop are on top because it's not disturbing, no message, no soul, only bling and flexing pushed by the media to sell their stuff... But i'm hopeful there always be kids grabbing a guitar or drum stick and readying to rock in their parents' garage! Long live rock n' roll.

Trying not to spoil too much:
Wasn't impressed by the movie, did not have the feel of a Star Wars more like a Guardian of the Galaxy.
Too many plots and too many plot holes... Poor decisions made by all characters, hard to relate or care about them. I guess they are trying hard and succeeding in killing the "old" saga.

This kind of nitpicking and over-reaction to tiny events is why Trump won
He won because of gullible people. I understand he's recently been elected and way too soon to come to any conclusion. BUT when in your 1st month you are more concern about your "victory tour" and what people say about you it's not looking great.

Ok, so now is anyone going to DO anything about the actual problems that exist?
Let Sweden and Swedish people deal with their issues (if you are Swedish go vote for the people representing your views). Here the main issue is not what we do but how we do it. Trump decided to speak before thinking, twisting the truth, calling media fake and his opponents liars. He is making a fool of himself (and USA) every time he tweets, comments, or speaks on TV. He act as a pyromaniac fireman. Creating a fake problem and offering solutions to it when he should be focusing on real issues (unemployment, education, healthcare). I guess he is too busy celebrating his victory to take care if his own people.

It is obvious (and he said on Twitter too) that he was discussing all the problems Sweden is having
No he was not: "“You look at what’s happening last night in Sweden,” Trump said."
Last night seems pretty specific to me, not a general situation.

I think "hafu" is just a Japanese thing, pretty harmless and we should not get too upset about it or analyse it too deeply. It is not good or bad nor it is racist. You can be proud of it you can be ashamed of it or you can just ignore it. People like to box other people and will always do.

That will look good during a job interview...
What if this guy a rock musician, a music producer, a tattoo artist, a graphic designer, a dancer or even a banker, a doctor, a teacher for a ll I know (by the way are those profession more respectable?) . Judging a book by its cover is ridiculous. Tattoo above the neck could also demonstrate self-confidence and creativity which tons of jobs require.

Funny how people are quick to judge others with tattoos... Then the same people will complain about the tattoo ban in Japan. Let people be whoever they want to be, especially in Japan it's tough enough like this with their standardized culture where they hammer down the nail that sticks out.

And you talk to the former Vietnamese refugees who lived in the same Banlieue as poor non-whites, but quickly rose in French society to join the professional class.
Roughly 350,000 Vietnamese in France, one of the oldest foreign community in France and yet a vast majority working in Chinese restaurants, not sure how many how them climbed the social ladder to C-level positon in major organization but you can't really compare
Or talk to the non-Muslim Africans who are NOT putting bombs on airplanes or shooting up rock concerns in the name of their god. I am also talking about them (and "normal Muslims" but our government and media put them in the sames bag as suicide bombers, you can understand they get pissed off. Not sure of your ethnicity but let's say you're a white male would like like to be affiliated to the KKK based on your skin color or religion only?
0 ( +1 / -1 )
@JeffLee can you please give me your source?
it is reporting a 30 percent rise this year in Muslims headed overseas to fight for ISIS. How many people that make?
If you listen to the youth in France from interview and documentaries it clearly suck from them to be Muslim in their country, police controls are way more frequent for them, they get harassed by the media/police/bigots/racist/etc daily most of them are normal people with kids, a job, friends, social life. Some of them decide to fight to show what Muslims are by promoting peace, universality, helping each other between communities, being normal citizens where no one should care about your religion. Others just ignore the media and politics and live their faith privately and a huge minority will go nuts (even if they were not Muslim but from Muslim culture only). If you think they are mean too us because we are too nice with them go talk with Arabs in France and see how easy they can land a job compare to a white guy.

Easy going, laissez-faire societies like the UK and Tunisia churn out huge numbers of Jihadis. Social policies have notthing to do with it.
Au contraire, I think they do, France and UK have strict immigration policies way harsher than Japan. By pointing out and isolating all Muslims (5 Millions of them in France) as the reason for terrorism, violence, unemployment, taking advantage on benefits and not willing to fully integrate you give extremist Imams and Preachers strong argument on why she should hate the west and their own country and why they should go to Syria to train and come back to bomb their own people. There is a law each year maybe more only for one group of people again 5 Millions, the attack of Paris was executed by less than 10 "new born" Muslims.
