I support the ride-share spread in Japan.
However, the areas that need the most are not Tokyo, or other major cities but very rural areas like local city in Yamagata or Iwate pref. This is because there are fewer mobility services in those areas, making the people who only rely on public transportions which have shirinken because of smaller population. On the other hand, people in those rural areas have two or more cars.

Japan is buying so many obsolete weapons from the US as an allied country with US. Also, Japan accept the US' demand to contain China in terms of semiconductor technology transfer to that country.
Japan and the US are free market system; so, Japan should be justified to aquire US steel. It is not fair for the US government to obstruct the deal, which is just business to be decided between concerns.

Looking at Taiwan's resqueing pace, Japan seems to be so behind Taiwan in revoring from a big quak. More than 10,000 people were displaced, most of which are sleeping on the floor. Only 100 makshift houses have been established so far in 100 days after the incident.
I feel it sad as a Japanese.

Authentically Putin and Abe and its group's approach to media seems to be the same!
It is a smell of pre-WWII cencership and clearly againt the freedom of speech and democracy.
Actually there have little reportings on opposition sides or critics against the current administration policies on media.
For the best benefits for people and voters there should be pros and cons arguments on media, so we need the freedom of speech!!!"!!!

A larger number of people are against the former PM Abe's political performance, so he is not worth state funeral. He is a very snaky person, he always escaped from inconvenient situation and took no responsibility.
Since Abe took office, transparency rank, freedom of speech rank have become worse! Also, he is alleged to permit Tooits cult as religion. If only majority of people are supportive about it, it should go.

some people argue that it is OK for BOJ to continuously buy the G-bonds with huge money because BOJ can just print J-currency required. I don't know it is sustainable or until when or forever?
But with traditional economic theory, it is prohibited as helicopter money, which could cause hyper inflation, but it is not happening so far in Japan.
I'm confused.

Some people think that vigilant was done or divine justice, which i understand their views because before he dies, he had been pressuring media or people's opinions against his view to shut down. ironically, his mouth was shut down by violence. I am very concerned with the criminal's motivation. the reporters said that according to police, his incentive is not from political principle but from his bad manners and practices, which i doubt. Traditionally, in those cases, mafia members were involved, but this criminal, used to be marine self defense force, seems not to be related with mafia.

Therefore, it is only world might that can stop him.
Actually, it is only the US that can do so or produce a ceacifire.

But in a neutral view, both sides are responsible about that, as many of Asian women tend to think higly of westernized ways, especially maile Caucasian people as a symbol of that. They should change the way of thought otherwise they tend to be treated slavely by white males.

Posted in: Japan's COVID-19 foreign entry ban spurs demonstrations in several countries See in context
Please undestand that Japan is not ready to accept foreign people as the booster shots have not been gotten by the elderly people who are likely to develope to a serious stage or death. the shot rate is the worst with just only 1.5%. This is because of Japanese government's faulty judgement on when to start the booster to the eldery. it is not because of shortage of vaccination!
the minister in charge of vaccination lacks in capability to understand the medical situations and people's concerns, she is just coming from political dynasity family . she is a really miscasted.
Unless these things are resolved, we are not ready to accommodate foreigners.
In Japan we cannot accept the society in which the eldery and people with commonability die one and another due to the infection.
so, the inconvieniences for foreign people have been coming from our government failure.

i think NATO and the west should review on how they have been appropriate in dealing with Russia since the fall of Berlin wall.
they should make efforts to incorporate Russia into Nato and the west group with a kind approach to Russia. i think Russia had the will of cooperating with the west at that time, but the west didn't response to that.
If they had a more lenient approach to Russia, it would have changed the behavior to the west today.
It is nealy ineffectuall for Mr. Golby's breakthough!
i think the west should be conciled and is resposible for this situation not just claiming Russia as dictorial country and eivil.

But he seems to pose as a powerful guy and to be bullish.
But just a minute, he should review the vaccine policy his government has been adoptting.
it is obvious that the government delayed the annoucemnet for the targer of priority for vaccination despite enough stockpile of vaccination in Japan.
it is too late for the elderly people aged 65 or older who are supposed to drastically reduce their antibody againt covid-19 including delta variant.

Posted in: Turning English learning on its head See in context
I have a big concern on an boom to learn English conversation in Japan. People began to tink that
English is a weapon that gets us through the battlefields of life and if more Japanese spoke English , it could change the way Japan work and thinks. People teaching English stress this argument and Native English speakers tend to be overvalued dispite of the lack of professional or knowledge.
Speaking fluency dose't indicate professionals in many cases. Many foreign people especially from America or England come to Japan and try to teach their language to us just because thery can speak Engish without enough qualification of teaching for non-native English speakers.
this boom could lead to the conclusion that speaking Engish fulency is the gage of quality of Japanese and it could form superior sense to people who don't speak English fuenctly.
I don't want to live a life in Japan looking up native English people as superior human-being.

The signs that Omicron may cause less severe disease than Delta also align with lab data suggesting Omicron does not grow as well in cells derived from lungs, Li said.
Yes, I want to believe in it, that is a relief to us in Japan. Howver, the elderly people's antibody amout is rapidly decresing and remains very low but they have to wait until next Feb. for a booster shot. So, compared to UK with high rate of booster shots, the augument the above can be applied to Japan? I don't thik so. Japan's Government should start a booster as early as possible because it has a stock of enough amout of vacination for the elderly. Why not!
