Imagine if Japan's airplane is patroling over Takeshima. Koreans will say "stop Japanese military aggression" all over the US trying to get the support in pressuring against Japan. But when Koreans do it, they have the every right to provoke Japan? Hypocrites.

As a matter of fact, the US cities have been cancelling the Hiroshima Nagasaki exhibition. Even in San Francisco. Japan wasn't protesting boycotting US goods or any political activism going on.

The problem has been sk's aggressive politicization of comfort women exhibition. It has become political activism and not merely an art because the way they do it is to demand money by bringing up the past as if Japan is still doing the same thing. It may work in NY or LA but not in Japan. If you truly want to exhibit "art" then leave ugly political activism out. Again, sk caving into US demand of military contributions in billions of dollars has nothing to do with Japan. You cannot make Japan pay just because sk politicians can't say no to the US.

Abe doesn't need to be building rapport with Trump personally. I'm glad he didn't blame Iran of oil refinery attack in Saudi. Yet Japan doesn't have to commit to denuclealization of North Korea. Good idea to meet with Kim face-to-face and build a ra]org with him. That's how nuclear weapons irrelevant. Stop listening to the US especially the current admin. It's time to discuss the future of Japan with nuclear power plants in this ever changing climate. More cities get sunk in the water in the rain, we have always been and will be on the ring of fire, it's sucidal to have 52 nuclear power plants. It's like waiting for another disaster to happen. We do not have the solution for the melt-down, no body can say that there will be no accident again after our disastrous experience of Fukushima Daiichi.

Too bad Japan had been used as the first terrorist state in the region.

There are huge differences between the government and average citizens on both sides. Right now, the governments are having problems but the citizen’s opinions on both sides are not necessarily shaped by the government’s stance.
Not true. Have you seen South Korean activists in big cities in the US? They have been screaming out loud that they want Americans to help them stop the "Japanese aggression" and "the use of comfort women" today. Many Americans believe that such practice is still going on and Koreans are the victims therefore they would never lie or harm others. That's the propaganda working at common people's level. We just had a comfort women awareness musical going on for a week in Los Angeles, combining with the complaints about "Japanese economic oppression". They also work with New York school boards to change the name of Yakeshima to East Sea in favor of Korea. Seriously, this is not just the government. Don't undermine the aggression coming from common Koreans.

It's not Japan who started this. It's the Supreme court of sk and a series of outright protests inside and outside of Korea against Japan all these years.
Why does any tech company want to hire a South Korean person at this point? He or she may betray the company to drain the information to sk tech companies or they might demand compensation for not liking Japanese ways then go to international community to "expose" how Japanese company men would treat them in "war time abuse". I mean, sk government and the activists have been demonstrating such accusations everywhere in recent years. Hiring a sk person is like a liability.

I do not boycott or hate Koreans just because SK does so. I wasn't raised to hate Koreans. You may think that Japan hasn't done enough to teach the past but, the bright side is, Japanese never carried the hatred. Of course, there are some people who are discriminatory but most of us are not. Schools never taught us to hate. Government never propagated the hatred. It sucks to live with such strong hate toward others for decades and centuries. It really shows the bad leadership.

I say this again and again, to display this comfort women statue while south Korean crazies saying "pay for events hapoened 100 years ago", "forget the fact that Japan has already paid", and "stop Japanese economic aggression" samultaneously orchestrating this "awareness" protests all over the US is not going to serve whatever that koreans are saying. The purpose doesn't seem like "putting the awareness in Japanese people". It seems more like "make Japan pay using pressure by Americans". Isn't it convenient to use the term "violation of freedom of speech" when you are doing things morally wrong?
If you truly want Japanese people to listen to you, STOP THE HATRED and STOP EXAGGERATING the current events. Japan hasn't done anything to you for decades. You feed your own hatred by doing what you are doing.

@rgcivilian notice who are writing these articles. They only write what they want us to know. Sounds like many Koreans are against violence toward Japanese tourists but no one seems to be doing anything about it legally. What in the world? Sk is the one worsening the situation. JT needs to tell the writers to keep up with the event because sk is doing too much tit-for-tat activities. I thought they were telling Japan to have a conversation with them to end this lunacy. Is that a blackmail? It all started with sk's violation of 1965 agreement ordered by its supreme court. Fix that, if you want Japan to respond to you. Japan has been exporting materials to the confirmed companies. Sk needs to straighten up with the companies in the importing list with their identities and purposes of getting the material. Japan is not asking too much. It's common sense.
