Posted in: YouTuber gets 2 years in jail for assaulting, confining wife See in context
For anyone interested in further details, I was able to glean information off a Japanese news source. Apparently, the man was trying to make a career off youtube. His wife left those comments in order to dissuade him, so that he could find a 'proper' job. At the time of this post, he currently has 1.2k subscribers, with most of his videos garnering only a few hundreds of views. His latest videos, following the controversy have garnered a couple thousand. This is the name of the channel provided in the news source カトリリョウマ, and it seems he was trying to build a following on social media as well @ YXIFLiyXeu2EV62 . The wife apparently lost patience waiting for his youtube career to take off during the course of well over a year. The husband was clearly frustrated with his wife for not supporting him and indefensibly assaulted her. I was reading some of the comments and saw some people confused with some minor details so here is a little extra context. Hopefully it helps.

Awesome! From back when there was respectful creativity in TV/movie land. Hardly any more recently.
