That indicates they're forcing him to lie, it's psychological warfare.

Wiki clearly states he was born in Brazil, so wherever you are born is where you are from..

*A Lebanese friend of Ghosn said the incident must be a conspiracy to oust Renault and protect Nissan.
Ghosn was initially dispatched by Renault in 1999 as part of a capital tie-up to save Nissan from bankruptcy. He was the crucial linchpin of the complex tripartite partnership, which also involves the French government that is the top shareholder in Renault with a stake of about 15 percent.
"An investigation is immensely important. Something stinks," stated Lebanese Information Minister Melhem Riachi.
A Lebanese foreign ministry official lamented that the country's ambassador in Japan had to bring Ghosn a mattress because he was sleeping on a carpet.
The Lebanese government has called on Japan to come up with a transparent and fair solution, and ensure adequate time for Ghosn to meet with family members and lawyers.
Err this is weird, regardless of his native parents, he was born in France or Brazil, so just leave it at that, why are they focussing on race yet again... to deflect and scapegoat. I personally know many Christian, Jewish Lebanese friends abroad who are wealthy, that does not add to the fact the whole judicial system here is corrupt and racist towards foreigners.
Rather than focussing on race, is this really a democracy here? even we as Japanese question the notion of what is true freedom.
As a general note we cant just think outside the box, 出る釘は打たれる (cause the nail that gets hit down is a Japanese saying)

Trust a pervert to be the Ad director.. but if this was shown in the west, feminist groups and other groups will sue.. but it is ok here because its kawaii for westerners to see..

As with any prosecutor/cop/good cop/bad cop routine will do is to force something by psychological torture and pressure. In anything law related in any country, best to not say anything until a lawyer is present.

Meanwhile the rat Saikawa insisting behind Carlos old desk getting the same salary

This is exactly what I've been stating all along, it's a rigged system. Framing the innocent and their imagination of destroying the merger Carlos was implementing in his final days to merge in one large company.

Is it possible to visit him? Cause I don't believe anything the media is throwing at us. Maybe he needs outsiders to tell the reality of what's going on to the outside world.
No mention of his own family or Kellys own family visiting them..

Tina that is wrong on all accounts. Firstly ANY company would need to sacrifice many workers, especially if the company was bankrupt TWICE. Secondly he rehired all those workers back anyhow. He did A LOT for Nissan, introduced hybrid cars, electric, now self driving cars. Brought back the GTR: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWU9YsxXPqw
Which is technically the Porsche of Japan.
He resturcutred the company, brought out new models and made it the new Nissan you see today, so please read more insight and read his books: https://www.amazon.co.jp/%E3%82%AB%E3%83%AB%E3%83%AD%E3%82%B9%E3%83%BB%E3%82%B4%E3%83%BC%E3%83%B3/e/B004LT6MIU/ref=dp_byline_cont_book_1
Renault has also restructed also, its models, its supply chain and many other things. They need to push more heavily in marketing globally, they so far focussed more on the EU market as opposed to the US, Japan and Asia. Nissan he has pushed heavily in market in all regions.

Business is business and he he led the company solid in the right direction, regardless, if they can't see the bigger picture go back to being paperpushers in a typical company here with lower salary and zero say at all

Un hey without him, none of these people would even have a job or yet alone voice their opinions to begin with. Remember Japanese management here: the nail that sticks out will be hammered down. But cause there's foreigners running the show they have more freedoms and higher salaries...
Again the mergers are needed to make a large company and strkng cashflow in any turbulent future.
GM never disappeared because it's got to many brands to levitate from.
And another thing.. Why does the old dinosaurs dreaming of the 80s Inc day cry wolf of any foreign company mergers here yet when Sony buys Columbia Tristar pictures or when Toshiba buys Westinghouse or Softbank buying Arm Processor and the French robotics company that makes Pepper the robot. All that is ok but vice versa let's all cry wolf..

The power struggle between Nissan and Renault has burst into the open, with Nissan hoping to use the Ghosn scandal as an opportunity to increase its influence within the partnership to reflect its higher sales and corporate value. Renault, which holds 43% of Nissan shares, hopes to reinforce its control of its Japanese partner, either through a merger or deeper integration of management.
This proves it was a set up, even the local news here is hinting at it..

In its most recent financial statement this month, it announced a gain of seven percent in first-half net profits compared to the same period the previous year. Operating profits jumped nearly 29 percent.

What a disgrace Saikawa is, where are the laywers???
3 ( +4 / -1 )
*The tie-up is "not equal," Saikawa was quoted as saying at his first meeting with company employees to explain the arrest of their charismatic boss, who has played a key role in the alliance that is viewed as favoring Nissan's largest shareholder Renault.
I knew it.. it was all a set up, he magically wants to destroy the merger.. and exactly how will you be doing that to your majority shareholder little man??
They can not understand that merging 3 companies will become like GM and selling multiple different brands, bigger company, more money, more investors, more future vision, why would you want to go back to being bankrupt a third time around with your zero management skills.. you are an utter joke.
What a disgrace he is putting us in before the Olympics! back to the stone age..
