Sorry. Although the student was clearly at fault, I fail to see how NOT using the headphones would’ve avoided this accident. He’s not a bat. I use my earbuds all the time while cycling and I find it makes me hyper aware of my surroundings since my hearing is compromised due to the music.

Although such a practice may put me in danger of being hit, admittingly, I personally have never hit nor almost hit somebody due to me enjoying my tunes. That’s what eyes are for...

That said, the unfortunate thing is, a middle-aged man has lost his life and young man has ruined his due to this completely avoidable accident.

I was at my 8 year old son’s class observation recently and a parent was dragging their 3 year old along the floor. The child refused to walk and she needed to get to her other child’s classroom. The child was laughing the whole way. Whether they like it or not, hardly abuse.

I’m 1,000% sure the child in this article was being unruly and 999.9% sure he would not leave on his own volition. You cannot keep unruly kids in the classroom because it disrupts the learning of all the other children - which is not fair to them. The root of unruliness begins at home. SOMEBODY has to discipline children if the parents won’t.

Besides...science shows that undisciplined children leads to liberalism. ( ^ - ^ )v

The grandparents should be locked up. THEY let him go alone. And for any of you "thumbs downers" to this post. Take a step back and try to think for a moment using any part of your brain not yet infected with the liberal mental disorder - "Is it honestly NOT blatant neglect to allow a 2 year old to go ANYWHERE - other than maybe the toilet - ALONE? Let alone across a FOUR lane HIGHWAY?

I don't care if the driver was faced timing his prostitute girlfriend with his iPhone super glued to his forehead and a quart of vodka in him – the grandparents still bear some of the blame. If you can't agree to that, I hope to God you do not have children now, and never do. (Mic drop)

smithinjapanJAN. 02, 2017 - 08:41PM JST

"Yeah, because the 27 let in in 2015 have committed how many terrorist acts? Come to think of it, who has committed any terrorist acts in Japan besides Japanese nationals? Perhaps you should have left the paranoia at the door before YOU came in. Japan has a serious problem and no one coming in to fill the numbers they need. One solution is to allow in more refugees -- people who need a place to live, and people who are needed here to assist those already here, as well as the nation as a whole."

It's their country, not yours. If they don't want to let refugees in, that is for them to decide - not you. You are merely a guest in this country being allowed to live here. And complaining how Japan does or does not do things makes you an unwanted guest. I'm tired of foreigners coming to Japan to live and then complaining that Japan doesn't do things the way their country does and expecting them to accomodate. Refugees, marijuana laws, death penalty, etc., etc. If you don't like the way Japan does things, go live in a country you agree with. Quit expecting Japan to be YOUR perfect country.

Posted in: Why isn’t Maximum the Hormone officially against ticket scalping? See in context

The statement was a strong call to end the practice of ticket scalping in which unlicensed sellers purchase large amounts of concert tickets in order to sell them to fans at inflated prices. It’s an unnecessary and parasitic practice depriving both the artists and their fans of money.

I'm confused I guess.

1) How does it deprive the artists of money? The tickets were bought at face value. Regardless of whether they were sold or not - and at how much - they still get paid.

2) How does it deprive the fans of money? People will pay what they want/can to see a concert. It's up to them to decide if the price is justified. If not, they miss the concert. I see it as a service to provide last-minute tickets to those who don't have tickets. Its a gamble for the seller. It's not price-gouging because seeing a concert is not a "need" - but rather a luxury.

Guess I've never understood why this is considered such a bad practice.

I say Trump. Better than another liberal in the White House for damn sure. Just look how "great" America has become after almost 8 years of the clown that's been in there. Uhg. I'd rather someone tell me what I may not want to here but it be the truth, than to have someone blow sunshine lies up my arse like Obama and Hillary constantly do.

Now, I am not stating my opinion on this subject here because it is anybody's particular business. I just want to see how many "thumbs down" all the crybaby, angry liberals are going to give me.

I see all the nasty comments about Trump and conservatives always get so many "thumbs up" here from all the angry lefties. Why are you so angry? You've had a lying leftie in the White House for the past 8 years and look what it has gotten America. Pathetic. I guess now we really know what your thumb's up.

Blast away - it tells me that I'm right and that it pisses you off. Makes me smile.
