Sorry. Although the student was clearly at fault, I fail to see how NOT using the headphones would’ve avoided this accident. He’s not a bat. I use my earbuds all the time while cycling and I find it makes me hyper aware of my surroundings since my hearing is compromised due to the music.

Although such a practice may put me in danger of being hit, admittingly, I personally have never hit nor almost hit somebody due to me enjoying my tunes. That’s what eyes are for...

That said, the unfortunate thing is, a middle-aged man has lost his life and young man has ruined his due to this completely avoidable accident.

I was at my 8 year old son’s class observation recently and a parent was dragging their 3 year old along the floor. The child refused to walk and she needed to get to her other child’s classroom. The child was laughing the whole way. Whether they like it or not, hardly abuse.

I’m 1,000% sure the child in this article was being unruly and 999.9% sure he would not leave on his own volition. You cannot keep unruly kids in the classroom because it disrupts the learning of all the other children - which is not fair to them. The root of unruliness begins at home. SOMEBODY has to discipline children if the parents won’t.

Besides...science shows that undisciplined children leads to liberalism. ( ^ - ^ )v

It's their country, not yours. If they don't want to let refugees in, that is for them to decide - not you. You are merely a guest in this country being allowed to live here. And complaining how Japan does or does not do things makes you an unwanted guest. I'm tired of foreigners coming to Japan to live and then complaining that Japan doesn't do things the way their country does and expecting them to accomodate. Refugees, marijuana laws, death penalty, etc., etc. If you don't like the way Japan does things, go live in a country you agree with. Quit expecting Japan to be YOUR perfect country.

The statement was a strong call to end the practice of ticket scalping in which unlicensed sellers purchase large amounts of concert tickets in order to sell them to fans at inflated prices. It’s an unnecessary and parasitic practice depriving both the artists and their fans of money.

I'm confused I guess.

1) How does it deprive the artists of money? The tickets were bought at face value. Regardless of whether they were sold or not - and at how much - they still get paid.

2) How does it deprive the fans of money? People will pay what they want/can to see a concert. It's up to them to decide if the price is justified. If not, they miss the concert. I see it as a service to provide last-minute tickets to those who don't have tickets. Its a gamble for the seller. It's not price-gouging because seeing a concert is not a "need" - but rather a luxury.

Guess I've never understood why this is considered such a bad practice.
