We all know that because Obama is who he is, many eyes are watching and scrutinizing all his actions and gestures with a microscope. But, as many has stated "Who Cares," or shall I say "Shoganai!!!" Maybe Washington will be mad at me for learning some Japanese as an American citizen and critize me for it and JapanToday will post it as BIG news and gain two hundred something odd comments for it.

He beat up an elderly person, whom possibly was on an oygen tank and needs a walker to get around. Yes, he is definitely a "gangsta." I am guessing he he hit the old man from behind and caught him off guard or else there would have been a struggle for the "Ex-Gangsta."

Lately, I have been trying not to judge people for their actions, but, this is not right what-so-ever. The little girl called the police to report being "flashed" by one perverted person just to have another perverted person come to her rescue. She might have issues with men when she get older. They should post the nasty police man's picture next to this article.

Everywhere I have been taxi driver swear they are above the law and dont not have to take the same precations as other drivers. I hope that out of this tragedy some type of awareness dawn upon taxi driver so this does not repeat.

Apparently you missed my point. I am saying that when it comes to someone disrepecting my family especially the women in my family, that person has to be dealt with. I dont know if I would murder them or whatever but there would be some sort of ramification. Granted my analogy was extreme but whatever. Please dont read into sh!t too hard. Relax.

This could be a case of temporary insanity; its up there with...you coming home after a long day of work and finding your wife making the O face with another dude wearing your bath robe and slippers, inside your kitchen, drinking your juice and smoking your cuban cigar, while watching your tv and holding your remote control in one hand and slapping your wife's bottom with the other.

I cannot blame Kumamoto-san one bit. I am sure that the bum that was dating the 16 year old child, wasnt seeking an intellegent conversation.

Why the hell is this making headlines? It's a shame that this incident involving a grown ass man has to be supposedly connected with the dude from SMAP incident, its apples and oranges. Wouldn't it be more mature to say that this gentleman made a mistake on his own and its no big deal. I guess the "victims" will start locking their door.

Seems like another bad case of "no self worth," on the adults behalf, which seems to be very common here. When adults degrade a childs esteem by acts like this, it clearly shows that the adults themselves have been "pimped" and have self value issues that they have not addressed yet.

What was done was done and is done. The dude banged an old lady in her snot box; there's no rational behind it. You got people that murder people for "FUN" to feed their burning desires. No one on this earth can explain why someone's actions. I just find it sad that majority of the assualts here in Japan are men vs women/old people/children. The only thing that seperate "man" from animals are LAWS.

As I always see posted on comments of JT, there is not enough information. I mean the lady didnt get to tell her side of the story, with a broken jaw and all. We only know from the a$$whole that punch the lady and possibly witness's perscpective, which I doubt knew exactly what happened. But hey... maybe I am out place for thinking the whole situation is f'd up.

combinibento- theres nothing come off I meant what I said, if I was anywhere else I would feel the same about that particular area. The thing is I have been to other locations lived there for a while and of course follow the news. I just dont recall being in an arena where not just this incident but many other incidents where dudes take their anger out on someone that might not be as strong as them. You say this is just a simple case of Domestin Violence but this is not simple somebody lost their life. The news can be used to shape the minds of the masses in a positive way or a negative or just simply give you an outlook on certain topics and/or locations. I just by happen to always see in JT crime section that men tend to beat lean towards bullying and killing someone that may not fight back as hard someone that would with same stature. 24 yrs old jobless "man" beats 100 yrs old quadropalegic woman who is blind and deaf in one ear with a titanium basebat because his mother wouldnt give him money for pacchinco; or man 40 yrs old, throws a 5 yrs old child to his death off of a 20 story building, man says " I did it because my boss yelled at me today."

As I stated before, seems like a lot of the dudes out here are weak, being that they cant control their frustrations. Another killing of a woman, eh. Maybe its the norm and I am not able to understand it because I am "gaijin;" if that is the case I apologize for commenting on something that is beyond my understanding. Thinking about it maybe his girlfriend threaten him or something, I dont know.

I think the only mental illness many people have here is weakness. I have noticed that men here in Japan that decide take their frustrations out do so by chosing the most vulnerable person they can find. Like with the stabbings incidents that go on, majority of the incidents are men stabbing women or children. In this incident its a 20 yrs old male pushing a 60 yrs old woman onto the train track. Maybe its just me that has noticed this observation but if you look at about 90% of the crimes here that involve people getting hurt, its a man hurting elderly, delicate women, and children. I am sure in this case there were hundreds of people to push over the edge (dont know why he chose to do that) but he chose a combination of the vulnerable, an elderly woman. I have lost a lot of respect for the dudes here because of that. If it is truly a mental illness that is causing such misfortunes the men really need some type mental health treatment and self confident classes on some ole- look and the mirror and tell yourself this every morning: "I am man, I don't have to pick on children, women, and elderly to feel better about myself."

I served as well but under the rule of Bush. I too would not be proud killing someone that is just a bystander. I think of life like this put yourself in that next man's shoes, so that way I don't be too biased and narrow minded. And for the record before anyone come at me thinking I am saying military soldiers are proud of causing suffering, thats not what I am saying.

I am not speaking about what America is doing to show compassion. I am speaking of the thoughts of on lookers. Please do not take what I am saying literally as far "I have to do something about the crime so I must join the police force;" No, what I am saying is that I am constantly hearing other people's point of view about "why feel sorry for those people, they are the bad guys?" "We should blow the whole place off the map!" Yeah, I get excited because I try to imagine other people's suffering, while I gotta hear some war hungry but wont join the military to get a piece of that so called sweet action they thirst for. If you are nothing like that than you have no worries but if you are, you still have no worries just accept what I said and lets keep it moving.
