Nothing is more empty than these "vows".

If BOJ were serious, when it hit 145, it would've moved, but of course it won't, because it targets ~180 and it will never tell the market that.

This article is written by someone on a XiXiPee payroll. It's called the Senkaku islands, STOP saying DISPUTED, XiXiPee didn't care about those island until Japan found out about how much rare metals are present on the sea bed around those islands. They're Japanese islands!

Apple executives failed to make profit for the projects they "envision", but of course they never take responsibility for the failure, layoff people they hired, who they motivated by telling them they're "family", and cut them off like the "cost" they are.

Stop using the word, "disputed". There's no dispute who the sea belongs to.

Hint: NOT the XiXiPee.

Posted in: Indonesian president-elect vows to further strengthen ties with Japan after visiting China See in context

Indonesia is lost, it has become a Chinese territory. There will be another Chinese-ethnic massacre. The cycle between Chinese-ethnic/immigrants becoming rich in Indonesia and being massacred is a never ending one that's been going on for centuries since the Netherlands ruled there.

Posted in: How much attention do you pay to information, such as calorie count, on food labels or menu items in restaurants? See in context

A calorie "in", is not a calorie "absorbed", there are plenty of studies that show eating a lot doesn't automatically mean getting fat. There's only one simple rule, avoid sugar-added foods and beverages.

But, of course people won't do that, sugar is too good, that's one big reason why Warren Buffet never sold his Coca-Cola shares.

Posted in: Why is anti-Japanese sentiment remaining from the World War II era almost non-existent in Taiwan, Singapore, the Philippines and Indonesia, unlike in China and South Korea? See in context

Indonesian here, can't say for other countries, but in Indonesia, I don't remember any of my history teachers in elementary, middle, high school ever taught us to "hate" Japan. We were not even taught to hate the Netherlands which colonized us for 350 years. Funny thing is, many Indonesians dislike China and the US more.

I remember being taught, about the 3A propaganda, romusha, all the bad stuffs everyone knows. But, we were also taught the "good" stuffs, especially how Japan inspired us to gain independence, and how Japanese soldiers stayed to help us gain independence - after Japan's defeat - from the Netherlands and its allies, who came back to reestablish their colony. You can go to Kalibata and see tombstone of Japanese soldiers that we still honor to this day.

We know what happened, we're not stupid and we won't forget, but Indonesians are forgiving people. We saw Japan has made amendments since then, it's a changed country.

Still safe in Japan, or at least my neighborhood. My 2 elementary school girls are always out about on their bicycles until like 5 pm. If I'm around during that time, I can see groups of children on their bicycles as well.

LoL, nobody ever follow the "official rule", because people know in their heart how foolish writing Aiti and Sibuya is, government just catch up with what people think ?

Posted in: The number of marriages in Japan last year fell below half a million for the first time in 90 years, according to the health ministry. What do you think are some of the reasons for this? See in context

Women not marrying means we have a pretty good society that women don't have to attach themselves to men they don't really like, to survive. That's what classical feminists have been fighting for right ? The dream has came true!

Why marry when it's going to be a miserable marriage ?

The only group of people who dislike people not marrying and having children are the politicians, because their ability to spend as much as they want depends on taxes.

Posted in: Sony to cut about 900 jobs in its PlayStation unit as layoffs in tech, gaming sector continue See in context

COVID made "visionary" CEOs dropped tons of money on "stay at home" gadgets, techs, entertainment, whatever. Then ChatGPT dropped, 2022, changed literally everything.

You may not feel any changes yet, but all the layoffs happening in 2023 and now, all can be pinpointed to the sudden appearance of ChatGPT. It disrupted all plans made by "visionary" CEOs during COVID.

Within 1 year, AI evolved from a toy generating silly images, to generating realistic videos. Just search youtube, full of videos of famous people speaking other languages natively with perfect lip sync. Are you a translator ? Your job is gone in a few years.

ChatGPT marks end of an era, and start of a new one, are you ready ? I'm sure as blue sky, green grass, I'm not.

Number one skill everyone should cultivate, aware of yourself, aware when you're angry, aware when you're happy. There are so many people whose life would change if only they're aware when they're angry and switch it off.

You don't survive in Japan or anywhere else unless you play well with others.
