I hope Wheeler will be successful and kick the feds out of his city.

Like Taiwan, in this article, the free world does not consider America to be bad or almost as bad as China. There are a few malcontents who will always think like you. It doesn't bother me.

After observing Japanese for over 50 years I long ago came to the conclusion that Japanese are not the scream and hide types. Earthquakes and other disasters have not caused them to panic. I do not think this will cause it either.

It is a sobering situation. I hope everyone will be safe and well.

"Besides their own government and military spies, the Chinese recruit many of their Chinese citizens to spy for them, even university students studying in America. They cannot say no because Chinese are not a free country. In fact, the only freedom they seem to have on the Internet is talking bad about other free countries. If they said anything bad about their own leaders they would be in hot water.

If China would stop stealing intellectual property and use that money to do their own R&D they might gain a tad of the free world's respect. I guess it is easier to steal it than to work to create it themselves.

If you continue to support police brutality and say nothing when police or Fed make believe police shove old men to the sidewalk, shove women to the street curb, attack a Navy vet just for talking with them (the list goes on and on), then you most certainly own part of the responsibility for their continued brutality.

There have been almost zero changes to counter police brutality so far. BLM and its supporters have a long road ahead of them.

Chad Wolf is the 4th Acting Sec of Homeland Security... means? There hasn't been a Senate approved Sec since Gen Kelly.

Blacklabel you calling the Navy vet an instigator reminds me of the time the man in his 70's got shoved to the sidewalk. The policeman who did that just walked away and the police behind him did the same. Serve and protect? No. The Fed police who did not listen to the Navy vet cannot chew bubblegum and walk at the same time. They see anyone in their path as being criminals. That was evident by their attacking the vet. They should be wearing brown shirts because they are acting exactly like Hitler's Brown Shirts. You and your backers are aiding these so-called police. You are therefore share the responsibility for their foul deeds.

Fact is that you don't know the disposition of employed and unemployed demonstrators there are. The employed can protest when they are not working. How many work at 2 a.m. in the morning? And, of course, the majority of protesters are law abiding.

The Navy veteran who tried to talk with the Fed 'police?' the other night was beaten by them and suffered a broken bone just for trying to speak to them. I guess you might have missed that on Fox.

@PTownsend that is very scary. The right loves the military but doesn't usually don a uniform. They love the all volunteer military. They've gone out of their way to protect Eric Prince.

@Blacklabel, which is a great beer... but, poor people should get a job instead of roaming the streets? First of all Trump has made a lot of people poorer by not setting out and following a scientifically approved guideline to restart the economy. He has put a lot of folks out of work and the unemployment's soaring is mostly because of his ineptitude and stupidity. Food banks are having trouble keeping up with the new poor. Trump and his henchmen are busy trying to stop government aid for unemployment and rental freeze. Just get a job indeed!

Wolfpack, that spew is exactly the type of Trump made up embellishment lies that the Republicans love. Sorry, Democrats and the majority of Americans see right through his lies.

The Republicans who are backing and supporting Trump's 'Rule of Law' fight against peaceful protesters are like the Loyalists who backed the king during the Revolutionary War.

I understand that the feds have a right to protect federal property but they do not have a right to stray from the federal property and attack peaceful protesters away from their property.

Chicago Mayor Lightfoot: “I’ve been very clear that we welcome actual partnership,” the Democratic mayor said Tuesday after speaking with federal officials. “But we do not welcome dictatorship. We do not welcome authoritarianism, and we do not welcome unconstitutional arrest and detainment of our residents. That is something I will not tolerate.”

If she sees that the feds are not cooperating, I hope that she will have her police forcibly kick them out.

There is really nothing worse than an American who hates America enough to wish America's enemies well while bashing America. Pompeo is not a good diplomat but he is right about China being a bully in the South China Sea.

I think there are a lot of people in prison in America who shouldn't be locked up. Still, it is not the same as what China is doing with the Uighur's.

@Vanessa Carlisle you say that America is very bad and China is not so bad in comparison.

You mention that America has many more incarcerated than China. Would you mind elaborating how that compares to the Uighur camp situation in China?

I too take offense when the crazies, who call us the America hating left, think that if you are not a right winger shouting obnoxiously in unison, USA USA, as they stomp their feet, you must not love America. I was in the Navy during the 70's, part of which was as an AIC on the Mudway involved in the Cold War that started right after Vietnam ended. But, what can a person expect from someone whose hero is the bone spur in chief?
