And in private, some Japanese officials speak of fatigue at managing a disruptive president who shows no signs of steadying or becoming more reliable. See in context

I feel sorry for Abe San. He listens to Trump tell so many lies about Japan and just smiles. The good thing is that now Japan is talking about first strike against a country that might launch a missile attack against Japan. Why? Japan cannot trust Trump.

Putin and Xi Jinping must be very happy with Trump’s presidency. He is helping them with his divisive use of storm troopers in Portland.

It is true that President Trump doesn't need to wear masks as it is true for his family. Before anyone is allowed around Trump and his wife and children, they must be screened. That is not true for normal Americans. I really do not care if he wears a mask but I do care that he has no regard for the lives of Americans. That is evident by the way he shows such disregard for the scientific approach to the prevention of the spread of the virus.

@Blacklabel, have 99.98% of Americans been tested for the virus? Even if that were true, and of course it is not, people could get the virus after being tested. Wearing masks is commonsense.

@Blacklabel, no one knows if they have the virus or not unless they have been tested.

@Blacklabel, masks are worn to slow the spread of the virus. That means if you have the virus it is more difficult for you to spread it. Leave it to right winged extremists to misconstrue science.

Xi Jinping and Putin must be very happy that Trump is doing their bidding by trying to poison democracy in America.

I'm surprised and disappointed that the marshals and other federal agents would go along with this Nazi like jackboot move. Can't they see that they are acting the part of Brown Shirts? I hope the Supreme Court justices and Congress will step in to nullify his Hitler like actions.

Not listening to science in regards to Covid 19... Where would that leave the rights of individuals to pursue their own selfish interests?

I see that Belgrade, Serbia installed the same system recognition system to help reduce crime. I wonder if Huawei can tap into their system.

Huawei is a name that instills trust because they built China's national face recognition system used to track its citizens. Must be fun to live in China and know the government is able to track everything you do outside of your home.

@Busby... what a great job you do as a seer for what Trump 'really means'. Trump mumbles something meaningless and/or a blatant lie and someone tells you what he really meant.

Chris Wallace is not the norm when it comes to Fox News. In my opinion, he did a creditable job as a moderator during the 2016 presidential debates.

He said he was “not offended either by Black Lives Matter,”

That's mighty white of you... and, it goes a long way in proving he is a racist himself.

but at the same time defended the Confederate flag, a symbol of the racism of the past, and said those who “proudly have their Confederate flags, they’re not talking about racism.”

How can you be proud of the Confederate flag and not know that the flag represents racism at its ugliest time? I guess it might indicate that many of his Southern base are dumber than rocks.

I just noticed the pickup truck behind Trump in the photo. The only thing missing is a red neck who needs a haircut wearing a T-shirt and ball cap and a rifle rack in the back of the cab with a Confederate flag sticker affixed to the back window.

Trump stuck to what he had said back in February — that the virus is “going to disappear.” On Fox, he said, “I'll be right eventually.”

Yes, even a broken clock is right 2 times a day. The key word here is 'eventually'.

@egads man! "People have been saying this could be an option for him, to deny the election results. And he finally admitted it."

So right!

That picture of him is spot on. It shows his arrogance and mean spirited personality. He thinks he is living in a banana republic. What Biden said: "The American people will decide this election. And the United States government is perfectly capable of escorting trespassers out of the White House.” I will get out my popcorn and enjoy the entertainment if he tries to barricade himself in the bunker and try to use his private army to keep from getting evicted.

And finally, not so far into a conventional fight if it involved all the players, would come the nuclear exchange. That might throw a wrench into theories about which weapon and aircraft is superior. It also might be what gives everyone pause.

There are F-22's in Japan and I believe they can be used to counter possible Chinese aggression. The Chinese try to bully their neighbors. This is what the article is all about... Japan sending fighters to intercept Chinese when they intrude into Japanese air space.

America benefits from having forces in Japan as much as the Japanese do. It is a mutual defense deal. We are not doing the Japanese a favor by being here. If there is a fight with China we will fight together.

F-15's are very capable fighters. They've shot down many Russian fighters piloted by other countries. Japanese pilots are good too. Go get 'em!

"The other side is going after statues so their side responds by going after murals?" Not the same... Statues of Civil War Confederates are not equal to the BLM mural. One type praises American criminals and the other (the BLM mural) supports racial equality and justice.
