Japan Inc manages to invest large sums of money outside Japan but not in Japan where the economic situation is deteriorating.

When it comes to profits, Japanese companies are not shy to forget their roots.

Unlike robbing yen cash, gold is a fast appreciating asset.

Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell said earlier this week that he hoped Kishida's visit would underscore “that we’re in a worldwide situation here against the enemies of democracy — led by China, Russia and Iran.”

That’s his opinion and he’s welcome to it.

Japan is no longer the place to look for work at poverty level salaries.

As Japan has no retirement visa for foreigners it cannot even take advantage of the rich overseas retirees.

Still, the cherry blossoms are looking good.

Kevin Costner is unfortunately right.

America had been inhabited for thousands of years by people which could speak to multiple generations.

All this was completely ignored by the invading Europeans who regarded the natives as savages.

There won’t be any sake on the menu for Kishida but there will be plenty of wine.

The following are a selection:

Lingua Franca Bunker Hill Chardonnay 2021, Willamette Valley, Oregon

Long Shadows Pirouette 2019, Columbia Valley, Washington

Argyle Vintage Brut Rosé 2020, Willamette Valley, Oregon

All that wining and dining sure seems like hard work….

Foreigners are being allowed in to take on low paid jobs. These jobs are replete with various regulations about what they can and cannot do.

Stress might be a problem and disputes might have a tendency to turn nasty.

However, foreign crime has not been and won’t be statistically significant unless many more foreigners are allowed into Japan to work.

While the Japanese people are becoming impoverished, Kishida is off on, yet another money and fuel guzzling trip.

Instead of dialogue with a neighboring country ,Kishida Jets off to another continent to scheme and purchase offensive weapons.

The role and duties of modern day politicians should be re-evaluated as a matter of urgency

Spending is down!

Why is that?

Isn’t the plummeting yen helping Japanese people?

Aren’t stock market highs leading to more disposable income?

Aren’t those overseas workers enjoying their new found fortune by splurging out and conspicuously consuming?

Aren't taxes being reduced to give the citizens more financial freedom?

Nevermind, it’s cherry blossom season…
