Good! I hope this encourages more vaccine holdouts to do the right thing and get the jab.

This is great! Can't wait to take advantage of some of these deals and for more people to be vaccinated.

Serious question -- why couldn't they have just postponed it another year? I get that canceling outright is extremely difficult for many reasons. So why not just wait another year???

Why only 3 days in quarantine?? Literally EVERYONE else (sorry, I mean those who aren't connected to the Olympics) has to spend 14 days locked in strict quarantine, checking in with the government multiple times per day with some crazily invasive and strict quarantine regulations. Yet anyone connected to the Olympics is exempt?

For reference, current quarantine measures: https://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2021/06/25/national/japan-quarantine-measures/

This often happens in the USA also -- "restaurant tax" is charged on eat-in orders, but not on takeout orders. But it depends on the state and jurisdiction, so people aren't generally aware of what the difference is.
