It's nice to know that you should never rest your chopsticks across the top of your bow. You talk about how this is a breach of etiquette, so it's important that you don't do this! There are little things that you wouldn't think about because it's not a practice dominate in your culture, but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't still respect it.
