The Japanese Gov't LOVES to place the blame on others. First they said there were no vaccines because "other" countries would not give them any. Then they blamed "logistics". Then they blamed the elderly, saying not enough people wanted the shots. Then they said there was a problem with reservation systems. And now they are blaming "young" people for the spread. WAKE UP JAPAN! YOU CHOSE TO HAVE THE OLYMPICS. No one is to blame for what happens in 29 days but yourselves. While the general population suffers, the IOC, JOC, Sponsors, NHK, Dentsu, etc will all be profting being spoon fed Grade A5 Waygu and beers at "Hostess" bars.

@tokyolite

There's already a tracking system in place for foreigners the come into Japan to quarantine them and has been in use for months.

Just add the names of those that need to be tracked.

Are you refering to the tracking app on the phone that my co-worker had installed on his phone? The one where they also call and check on you, but he had the calls setup to forward to his other phone? That app? These "systems" are easy to beat. Let me guess you are the same person that just lets your smartphone track you and doesn't use a VPN? lol. Having worked in IT for 30 I have learned alot!

Japan Gov't: We are vaccinating 1 million people everyday.

Reality: The Japanese Gov't actually only vaccinated 1 million one day, only one time.

The organizers have decided to also test tens of thousands of officials and workers for the virus and use smartphone GPS functions to manage the movements of those who are visiting from overseas, although questions about feasibility have been raised.

Who is going to be tracking these people? This is nothing but lip service. No one is going to be tracking anyone. The Japanese do not have the technology or even the man power to be able to do this. When I come, I am just going to leave my smartphone in my Hotel, and go out and about as I wish. I will then return to my home country and write several news articles on how this was a failed system. If there was a fax machine involved maybe they could figure it out...But not with any tech in 2021!

While there are countless challenges, the roughly 11,000 athletes will be tested for the virus on a daily basis, **in principle **and interaction with others will be limited.

Uh oh! So they really won't be testing the Athletes Daily...The truth finally comes out!

I have never understood how someone can stab 5 people in a apartment. That means while one person is getting stabbed 4 others are literally just standing there! Fight for your life or die! There are many objects one can grab in a house! A chair? A table? Heck even throw a pillow...do something!...don't just stand there!!

How do you know she didn't work. For several years now, if a wife divorces her husband she is entitled to 50% of all his pensions. I don't believe it's just the husband's money. It's the money of both of them. Many people consider a wife and mother at home taking care of domestic life is work. In some countries even suggestions they should be paid. Japan needs more children and someone must raise them.

Obviously she didn't work. If she did the low low pension money would not be needed. Laws need to be changed if a wife divorces and gets 50%. We have laws that stop that from happening, and America does as well. Any developed country has laws that make sense. The kids were grown up, she could easily get a full time job. Instead she prob chose to take care of her GROWN children.

If the wife wanted money, she could have gotten a job. Gone are the days of the Japanese housewife who just collects/spends the husbands money.

@Markx

If you have good life insurance, and make sure to read the find print, there will be no worries. I pay 5000 AUD a month and I am covered for 700,000 AUD. This covers all kinds of cancers, etc. I am sure there is GOOD life insurance in Japan.

Sadly, this is very common in Japan. This is why you need life insurance! If you have life insurance and you die, your family is taken care of at least for a few years after you pass. It isn't even expensive to have!
