We will speed up (the process of) considering the matter,

Not only are "we" doing nothing, we are gonna speed up the process to think about doing nothing further.

That has got to be the most political thing ever said.

I actually feel pretty sad for anyone whose idea of a "romantic night out" includes KFC.

Christmas in Japan is a time for love, preferably romantic

Other than Christmas is the time for unromantic love?

So.... those aren't wearing it are fair game?

Here's a better campaign. Kick 'em in the 'nads, even if you have to follow them off the train to do it.

It is refreshing to visit a hot spring and be free of the sight of disgusting tattoos.

Right? I feel the same way about ugly feet, overweight bodies, surgical scars, eyeglass frames without lenses, and everything else that I find aesthetically unappealing. I think all establishments should ban those things I find disgusting.

Posted in: Democrats zoom in on Trump impeachment charges this week See in context

So what? If someone's proven to be guilty of a crime it doesn't matter what good things they also do.

I believe it was Carville that stated "The economy, stupid".

The economy is what the left has to concern itself with. Doesn't matter what they throw at him (and let's face it... impeachment won't successfully give the left what they want) Trump, Pence, and the GOP, will campaign on the state of the economy in 2020 and will absolutely destroy the left if they don't quickly achieve their desired results (and... again... not gonna happen). And since they are putting ALL their eggs in this basket...

At this point, impeachment theater isn't going to suddenly start changing people's mind about who they are going to vote for. Those against Trump are already against him. Those who are for him... are for him. And those who are still on the fence after all this will be swayed by things such as the economy, etc. Barring some actual and true "bombshell" for an October Surprise, this was a damn stupid hill for the (D) to die on going into the 2020 campaign season.

So... yes. it absolutely DOES matter what other things are happening and especially the overall economy and job numbers.

And this is right where the madness of the concept of being able to own ideas leads. Some chuckleheads who had nothing to do with it gets to own them while the creator is barred from using them. Pure insanity.

Nothing to do with it? Who do you think takes ALL the risk and finances "it" when the creator is starting out? Yea... it is the "chuckleheads"...

It's not she started off in the 70's and 80's when it was unknown how shady these types of deals were. You can sort of feel bad for those starting back then finding out the hard way. No... since then it is widely KNOWN that these deals are created to benefit chuckleheads at the expense of the creators. She knew enough to get a deal that gave her ownership after a set period of time so she knew she would be locked out of that type of flexibility until then.

The only way to challenge Donald Trump Presidency is at the ballot box.

In a word, yes. japans like a jilted partner that can't come to terms that the relationship is over.

You have that EXACTLY backwards. Several apologies... compensation paid (more than once)... and to you it is Japan that can't come to terms that it's over?

it is fine, the trial will decide of that matter.

It's not a trial. It's merely a kangaroo court whose sole intention is to allow the ROK to continue playing the victim in order to attempt to garner world support so they can successfully blackmail Japan.

Perhaps what may be overlooked in this act of corruption by Trump is what would have happened had he been successful. He would be campaigning next year bellowing out that his rival is corrupt. He would be demanding investigations and probably leading "lock him up" chants. He would be using his corrupt ways to paint someone else as corrupt.

If you think he's not gonna do that anyway, then you haven't been paying attention.

The Trumpers here ought to give this passage a hard look

Point out a fairly significant difference between the threat given and the action taken (which is the only thing that really counts).

Get called Trumper.

You're getting played

Say's the person that obviously, at least on this post, believes anything less than 100% compliance in his beliefs equates to support for PDT.

And THAT is why, come 2020, we're gonna be stuck with this idiot for another 4 years. ALL the left has to do is not act crazy... and they can't even do that.

Donald Trump threatened once again Sunday to withhold federal aid

"Last night they approved seven additional emergency grants in record time,"

So... what was said... and what was done... are two different things.

"But what's so insidious, and what's so remarkable is that he's doing everything right to respond to these disasters and everything wrong to address what’s happening to cause them."

Pretty sure that...

"Every year, as the fire’s rage & California burns, it is the same thing-and then he comes to the Federal Government for $$ help. No more. Get your act together Governor,"

Is his method of addressing it by pointing out your crap eco policies that are contributing to the annual raging of the flames.

This is all political theater at the moment. It shall remain so until the House has a formal vote to proceed. Until then... their expecting the Don to cooperate under the threat of impeachment. Which goes to show... they haven't been paying attention.

As it stands, this "inquiry" is merely the Democrats way of reaping the rewards of an impeachment (ramp up base support, try to convince fence-sitters, make accusations, etc.) without having to actually give the accused the legal tools that would otherwise be at his disposal to defend himself in an actual impeachment.

> Absolutely. A contract is a contract.

Funny thing about contracts, especially one's involving labor. They often (and by often, I mean ALWAYS) stipulate what BOTH parties are required to bring to the table.

And there is ZERO discussion in this article about what items HE was required to bring to the table. For instance... he may have been required to have a certain starting level of proficiency that he simply didn't have.

Discussion of contracts always get to me because most people argue for/against them as if they are one-way vehicles in support of whichever side is make any specific point.

No. The real problem is when adult men who should know better minimise sex crimes.

No, no.... The problem is the attempt to criminalize human nature. And it IS human nature. Every male on this forum trying to tell you they didn't either successfully sneak a peek, or at least tried to, is lying and simply trying to white-knight their way to acceptance.

Understanding that, it is still NOT proper behavior, nor should it be accepted and needs to be dealt with. Yes, boys will be boys. And any father worth a crap will discuss this with their sons in a manner that informs them on WHY it is inappropriate, disrespectful, etc.
