No. As has already been said, Putin isn't stupid. The threat of an invasion is enough to jack up the price of crude oil.

What ? I acknowledge that Japan's entry ban may be draconian but ...
If something like this makes you feel suicidal, best stay in your own country. Mildly disappointed, I can understand.

So this would have been limited to a single accident, that of the first guy, if the woman had minded her own business. The moral of this story: don't be a Nosey Parker.

Milk is a baby food, originally consumed by humans when there was nothing to eat. All other mammals stop drinking it once they are able to eat solid foods. It is an unnatural food source which, over time, leads to an array of stomach problems if consumed.

This is tragic and could have been handled with no loss of life. I passed by a couple of hours after, and wondered what all the hullabaloo was about. The police, fire department, and press were all over the place. RIP to the unfortunate victims. I hope the arsonist is caught.

why would the Government China need to make ever more shrill threats
Because the CCP want to use the upcoming Beijing Olympics to prove to the world that they are a great nation. A diplomatic boycott is akin to being slapped in the face./spat upon by the rest of the world, which is what they deserve.

No retraction that I'm aware of when the fact emerged it was a BDSM club in Taipei.
And your point ? Kind of like how the CCP claim, through their tacky propaganda videos, that in fact covid-19 originted from contaminated deer in the US, and how the Uyghurs of Xinjiang are so happy-go-lucky to be "reeducated".

Kudos to the bus driver for taking action.
Incidentally, it is unfortunate how the word "chikan" has now become part of the English lexicon along with "hentai", etc.

Hun Sen is not exactly ''Mr reliable'' nor is he trustworthy.''
The term ''trustworthy politician'' is in itself oxmoronic. It's not fair to compare Cambodian politics to that of other countries.

What happened ? I thought Cambodia and China had a buddy buddy relationship ?
Despite the criticism leveled at him, Hun Sen has managed to bring Cambodia into the 21st century. Good to see Cambodia playing an active role in the assistance of its neighbors, just as it once needed assistance in years past.

百番 ain't a brothel. At least not in the 21st century. I had the pleasure of dining there a couple of years ago. Nice, quaint atmosphere of a bygone era. Getting there required me to navigate the ever incessant ''お兄ちゃん!'' calls from the local madams. It should be preserved as part of Japan's cultural heritage.

As always, there is scant information with regards to the circumstances of what happened. Was it consensual ? Was there coercion or blackmail involved ?
17 now but what about last year ?
The age of consent in Japan is 13. But here's the catch. As a minor, she would have needed her parents' consent. "An anonymous call about the incident" seems to suggest that it was not her parents but most likely the girl herself or a friend who made the call. Perhaps he used her for his own pleasure and then disgarded her ? Legally he did nothing wrong; ethically that may be another matter since what he did may well have been immoral. He can be accused of "leading her astray", but what he did does not justify criminal prosecution. If any other Joe Blog had done what he had, this wouldn't have made the news.

No, it is not. Businesses reserve the right. It's like saying that it is discriminatory to deny someone entry into your house because he/she stinks due to refusing to bathe.
Unless the person has a legitimate medical reason for not being vaccinated, those who refuse to be vaccinated have made their choice. Just like businesses have a right to choose.
