USA, Spain, Italy, Germany, Thailand, UK, Denmark, Singapore, etc, etc., Most countries will only give you a receipt for miscellaneous low cost items like a coke if you asked for it. As far as proof that your 120Y coke is correctly registered and taxed give me a break. The tax is included in the price plus why do you need to audit the cost of 120-500Y worth of stuff?? Yes I know there is a receipt box but the point is why waste the paper in the first place?

Another reason that you have more trash in your pockets is that you get a receipt for EVERYTHING!!!!. Why I am given a receipt every time I buy a coke, an onigiri a pack of gum or my Starbucks is beyond me. What is the purpose of all of these receipts?? Is there a government audit taking place or something?? And think of all the paper being wasted, 30 million people getting receipts everyday for cheap meaningless items.

Illegals can't vote, really?? The fact is that you are not required to show your ID in most states when you go to vote. There have been several attempts in some states to do so because of the concern over illegals voting but of course the left screams racism. Plus in many states you can get a drivers license if you are not a citizen. Ever hear of the motor voter act = get a license and register to vote.

Arizona Sheriff shot by illegal aliens today. http://www.wzzm13.com/news/news_story.aspx?storyid=121097&catid=14

Also, speaking of boycotts there are about 20 million illegal aliens who should probably consider boycotting Arizona.

Yes there is an agenda by the democrats to increase their voting base in the form of illegal aliens. So when anyone tries to clamp down on illegal aliens the diversionary tactic of screaming racism always begin. They march out the same old group of clowns like the good old Rev Al Sharpton to make their case. The good news though is the more they use it the less effective it becomes.

If the chosen one had any self respect he would graciously decline the award.

What a JOKE!! I mean what exactly has he done other than give a bunch of speeches, which by the way he can't do without a teleprompter? Of course it's not like this award has any credibility after the Yasser Arafat debacle.

I agree with Taiko666. These Typhoons always end up being no wind and a lot of rain by the time they get to Tokyo. A lot of hype for nothing.

I thought you had to give up your US citizenship if you became a citizen of Japan, I seriously doubt that he did this.

It's interesting how Japan makes such a big deal out of the North Korea abductions (and righty so)when under Japanese law it is perfectly legal to abduct children from other countries and bring them to Japan.

I wonder if Norkio-san got them Japanese passports after she returned to Japan? Also where were they married Japan or the U.S?

In any event she should be extradited to the US and put in jail.

Moderator: Readers, the North Korean abductions are not relevant to this issue.

The kid should have been in a child safety seat, isnt this the law? I see Japanese driving around all the time with kids without safety seats which is kind of amazing given their adversion to risk.

1000 people out of how many traveling on the train this year seems like a pretty low number to me. It has to be like .01 percent. Maybe they should limit the number of people they are cramming on to each train as a way to keep people from smashing into one another.
