As a life long NBA fan and long time expat in Japan, I for one am genuinely excited for the renewed interest in basketball Hachimura will bring to Japan. If this makes it easier to get legit basketball courts set up in Setagaya-ku I will be out there hooping. There are a lot of big strong non-hafu Japanese kids too and if they look at Hachimura and think he is kakkoii I bet they will be out on the courts too.
