The eiffel tower is more beautiful than the Tokyo Tower. Is it allowed to say this? :p

I don't understand his point. Japan is safe enough. Is he talking about climate dangers?

Mitch, you are right. I was more talking about people who seek to honour the emperor through their death, about people who are loyals to their head, to their country. Those people, whatever they do, always are insulted. Using pistol isn't seppuku, that's true. But, at the opposite of it, american comptemporary standards of life (which are imposed to japaneses as to frenchs)are merely decadence, easy big money, ultra-violence, hate of local tradition, submission to bankcracy... I am not saying that this man was right. I am saying that this man did was right to him, and he acted as a man, not as a coward. If people believe that their duty is to die for the emperor, to me, that's not more ridiculous than being a naive sheep all his life, accepting american oppression as cool thing. I believe Mishima, for exemple, was A man.

Sadly, here in France, this is quite the opposite policy... Youth are encouraged to do foolish things on their body. You can spot so much ugly, dark and foolish tattoos nowadays, when you have a walk along the beach. People seem so proud of showing to everyone else how low are their artistic standards.... poor france! At least, if people were wearing wonderful tattoos as the yakuza do, as African tribes do, as Religious Mexicans do... but no, they just ink a stupid thing they got in mind a minute ago and many of them regret it. Regarding the lady who got doked in Osaka... we should put things in context... And the context is the school! And in school, adults must be examplary as possible. Haters gonna hate :)

To call this sea, "east sea" isn't neutral... While this sea is located at the east of China, Corea and Russia, it is located at the west of Japan. To call it "east" is deliberately forgetting Japan. it is an anti-japanese action. Is isn't neutral. Why so much hatred against the Japanese state?

I wish to apologize for the wicked political action that was led in France against Japan. This is obviously political. Actually, the political climate, here in France is really disgusting. It looks like we are about to have a civil war.

The state has promoted with people's money a political play who mock christianity through the act of sending shit to the face of Christ... The mas-media applaud naked foreign prostitutes who profane churches, who insult everyone they desagree with and who physically hurt people. The huges strikes (1 million of angry french in Paris) were openly mocked by governement. People who say they are fed up with all this are immediately insulted by leftists. Our president has become a national shame.... There are american cops every single evening on french tv... And it goes on ans on. France isn't well at all Hope Japan is getting better

Why so much hatred against Japanese traditions, here? Why so much violence against people who see things differently? Why do Occidentals always criticize things that they do not understand? Why don't you leave nostalgic people in peace? For what reason are you constantly complaining about Japanese legitimate pride? You, Japanese bashers, should be ashame for insulting people who do not act as you would them to. Long life to Japan

As a foreigner (France), my opinion of Japanese people as a whole looks very much like those ten points. thank you for the article. All the Japanese I ve met were polite, kind, respectfull, bright, clean. Nevertheless, those ten points needs another important one...Creative! Japanese are so creative! And I would also gladly add kawaii!
