There is a sickness that pervades a small segment of Japanese society. Perhaps it's the sense of isolation that the Japanese sense of etiquette and reserve demands from its ethnic brethren. The crime rate is certainly lower than other countries but the brutality and depravity seems more prevalent.

The US maintains stocks of foreign weapons for black ops such as the sinking of the Cheonan. There are clear examples of this in the open such as Mig and Sukhoi fighters based in Nevada to help train US pilots. Other weapons include Russian surface to air missiles and supersonic anti-ship missiles such as the Sunburn.
