Still not very sincere to welcome back foreigners ! The visa application is still pain in the ass, in my country you need to wait 6 weeks for an appointment to apply for visa, and the visa processing take another week.

Private tour is allowed but still need to book through a travel agent. The travel agent in Japan start to abusive the system by charging exorbitant price.!!!

I don't understand why Japan address the local Japanese citizens as "tourist" or traveler" !. If you are a citizen and live in a country, in the country you are not a tourist/traveler.

They should also quickly open up their border to all individual without the 72 hours PCR testing and visa application. Other countries already treated covid as normal flu , Japan as an advance country is still very far behind.

Other countries are already accepted corona as part of their lives and open up their borders with no testing and quarantine , I don't understand why Japan still can't do it as an advance country. Many countries have their fair share of high infection rates..but they don't shut their borders so strictly again.
