Japan has a high rate of people with mental health problems. Parents themselves deny the fact that their child has mental issues, even if the school tells them that there is something wrong with their child thus should be moved to a special class. Too afraid of what image this would bring to the family.

Michael Jackson : But in some of those cases, there was never any love in a relationship and the husband was merely an unwitting sperm donor for the wife.

I have a friend too in the same situation. He met her wife in an age when he body clock was ticking very quickly. She got pregnant and they got married. Fast forward to 2 years, he wanted to get a divorce because there is no love in the relationship, no meals together, they don't talk, and no more intimacy because of his wife's excuse "my mother smells the sperm and she hates it". She planned to have another baby and so baby number 2 came. Still, he wants to file a divorce but knows very well that if he did, he would not be able to see his kids again. His plan now? To divorce her when the kids are old enough to communicate with him.

Some students who interacted with the robots said it was more comfortable to talk with them than teachers, while others said it was easier to practice speech.

The rise in demand in adult dolls will soar in the next 10 years. Children and adult are becoming more and more dependent to robots. Say goodbye to human to human relationship.

But I think Japanese are just really anti-social beings. I have a colleague I see most mornings in the parking lot, she wont even look at me, but when at work and we need to interact, she's all smiles. Oh and another co-worker years ago, I saw him in a mall, I smiled and said hi, he just looked at me blankly. Meh.

Average land prices rose for the first time in 27 years in the year to July 1 as an influx of foreign visitors boosted demand for property for hotels and shops.

If lesser tourist means lower land prices then so be it! Do not make the people who live here suffer from this influx.

@Goodlucktoyou but as I have seen in many many countries, they will create separate communities, continue their culture without integration and live in poverty because many are illegals. Crime will rise.

In Canada, there's French community. In America, there's Chinese, Filipino community. Isn't it normal to attract and connect with your own countrymen? Illegals and crime rate? As the population increases, the percentage of successes, unfortunate events etc will increase along with it.

Posted in: Princess Ayako to receive ¥107 mil after marriage to commoner See in context

For people with money, 107M is nothing but a coin. They can spend that in one snap, Ayako can surely do that. So, if I were in her shoes, I'd stay single for life, travel the world for free, sleep over at my bf's house, buy all the luxury. By doing that, my money will be forever flowing from the commoner's tax money (thank you people), no need to buy an apartment in Shinjuku because I own a castle. Sweet life.

I should apply to be her personal adviser.

The baby is awake the whole night, come morning time she will go to work without sleep. This is her life since she gave birth on repeat mode every single day. No support from the father(maybe) financially, emotionally, physically. I can understand her depression. The feeling of being worthless loomed over her and that is very serious.

But please, do not blame and harm your child.

Posted in: 73-year-old woman arrested for killing disabled 49-year-old son See in context

The mother is 73, the son was 49. She was 24 when she had him, 49 years of caring for a disabled child took her youth away. What's supposed to be productive years was confined to looking after her sick child. It's not easy. Certainly not easy to kill you own child whom you looked after and cared for for almost 5 decades.

But regardless of the situation, how can a mother kill her own child?

As always, rich companies, richer. Poor salary man, poorer. The things that people spend on are necessary - education, fridge, AC/heater. Thus, shoganai.

When are we going to see the headline "Travel and Leisure spending increase" which means that people can take several days off without feeling bad and have enough money to spend on it with the family.

Wages given to women are totally different from men. For example, a factory worker man earns 1000 yen per hour, his woman counterpart is 850 yen only.

When you go to a dentist/gynecologist, doctors are men, assistants and clerks are women.

Does it mean that the women in Japan have lower dreams? Of course not. They are not just given the opportunity.

There is something very very wrong with the way the baby boomers generation (born between 1946 and 1964) was brought up by their parents. Were the parents too busy building fame and fortune that they forgot that love and time is more important than tangible things?

Is this Japan alone? In my country, this is a rarest of rare circumstance. My country is not as rich as Japan but hey, we are happy people and we LOVE our family. Money cannot buy love and harmony.

This is a double-edged sword. Kids will either suffer from nothing to eat or suffer from no time/attention from their parent/s. I hope parents spend quality time with their children during weekends, not on something else.

Overall, this is good news, just hope that the positions secured by women, men, and foreigners alike are stable, well-paying, and long term.

We should learn from this accident. Every one should look to their right, left, and right AGAIN before crossing any road, EVEN though the pedestrian light turned green. Drivers who beat the red light can be drunk, tired, in a hurry and a hundred more reasons. And maybe, just maybe, some of us are guilty of this.

Train yourself and your children (especially the elementary kids as they walk by themselves morning and afternoon) to look at their right, left, right BEFORE crossing ANY road.
