From the photo you saw many of them were smiling and most of them were young faces born after 1980s. That has reflected the paranoid of young generation Japanese paranoid over their future and competition getting nasty between the same ages of Chinese and japanese co-existence!

Those misleaded people were protesting their own miserables and paranoid after 20 years of ecomnomic bubble bursted! I dont think China has done 'TOO FAR' as you guys stated over the trawler incedent because for japan that definately was a good thing....let them know what their grand fathers has done to China in that 50 years before 1945. The trawler collison incident was just peanuts if you comparing with Manchria incident!

@ mushroomcloud:'A Saturation attack' was a very unwise way to show of force, too clumsy and lacking the element of 'surprise' and that was totally unnecessary! The so called anti-ballistic missle defense was really a 'gimmick' and a political 'show' instead of any real meaning of capabilities. The defense side higly relying on the intelligences alarmed by early warning satellites. These spy satellites were like sentry watching the earth and incoming IRBM/ICBM?SLBM...They could be destroyed by ASAT missles once they flew over China! After killing these 'sky spies'the defenser was like blinde knowing nothing about where and when a coming ballistic projectile....so the frontline is in space and China was highly capable to do this task since 2007! No worries...China has the longer lance than any other asian countries, our existence was solid!!

Why didnt the US government adopting the Chinese retailiation policy when their captain was in custody by japan, they justsimply arrested 4 japanese nationals accusing them spying! There were 121 american children being abducted, so do the maths you know how many japanese need to be under 'custody'! Then the Japanese government understood this is serious.....

The Kan government bringing up the confrontation in east sea gas fields and the compensation of damaged JCG vessel was an attempt to stir up anti Chinese sentiment! Is a conspiracy,Japan has gained much nationalisms over this incident, she kicks up the chase and release the crews/captain as long as she likes and bringing the whole matter to seek Obama's support of Japan to boost his own popularity during the showdown in DPJ! What a dangerous man!!

This incident was definately the japanese inflicted by her own,she shouldnt harass the Chinese fishing boat and she keep underestimating the consequences! And japan just know hugging the US Japan security pact but receieving empty words from Obama! This has reflected the DPJ was totally uncapable to handel a crisis! The next move will be China drilling the gas out of east sea seabed! So....is japan seeking compensations from China for being 'deception' for decades??

@efisher: I think both countries have their own domestic problems and they cannot gives a space to the others!I couldnt understand why japan cannot gives a mere compromise over China that resulted in such a political deadlock! In europe there was similar land disputes too like Germany never claming back those lost land to Poland and east prussia to Russia! Japan always prpagandaing Chinese nuclear threats, that was ridiculous! The US has dozens of nuclear arsenals aiming China and they have been threatening nuclear war at China in korean war,why did japan never could understanding the necessary of China needs nuclear aresnals as self defense!?

Obama resolved what???? Can you tell me a single thing Mr Obama has resolved? His team was a complete mess, uncompetent over any issue and he is just buying time for himself?/ Did he solved the 'Cheonan' incident? China still holds the key of 'King making in Korean peninsula' and that requires Chinese cooperation, that matter the lives of US troops in nthe Peninsula...so I hope his execellency sit downs and talks if he doesnt wants to see any sticky hot issue like the middle east progress!!!

@KakiOko. Why do you think that is? Now the Chinese navy north sea fleet and part of those air force units were put in high alert as their drills begin,if the US aircraft carrier entering the Yellow sea will put the capital within US navy fighter's radius. Now you are telling me not their 'faults' of escalating the tensions??? Thank God, today's Chinese leaders were weak spined intellectuals running the country otherwise you guys has kick stared WW3!

Both US and japanw as 'unsincerely' to seek peace and non-nuclearizing the Korean peninsula...japan has always bringing irrelevant isse like the abduction issue to obstacle the negotiations!! And the Cheonan incident was just a 'daily issue' in the 38th parralle, what if China bringing up the South Korean navy killing a North Korean sailor in skirmish last november?? The Obama administartion was worst than the Bush, he just concerning his own 'polls' as he was being unpopular, tahts why he escalating the tensions in north east asia by conducting drills in yellow sea! @kyoken: Japanese brought a lot of pain to Korea, they pushed them to transform --with never seen speed-- from an agricultural nation into an industrial one. Korea would not be such a high-tech nation as it is, if not for Japan.
No that was definately not the case, those were no 'good deeds' the Japanese intention to do over Korea but their selfish aggressions to conqueor asia! Those so called 'reforms' were part of the 'Tanaka memorium, the quest to expand and conqueor instead of exploring civilizations to Korea!

The people of both Koreas should keep asking question: WHY,why Japan has to do such discriminating policies over her neighbours by implying western imperial systems over people has same cultural background, was that too selfish? this is a question the Japanese must answer and a 'sincerely apology ' was due! The division of koreas over the 38th parallel was rooted from the Japanese imperial policy over Korean peninsula and US intervention by putting unpopular leader like Sungman Ree! Those historic mistakes were the cause of today's tensions in north east asia! So please keep asking 'WHY' and the recent apology from Japanese PM Mr Kan is far from acceptable and satisfable!!
