But what is the daylight version like, any experiences?

On a clear day you can see Fuji-San quite well, much larger than I expected. Highly recommended.

The writer's choice of the word 巻く ("maku", meaning wrap) is a bit odd, but perhaps this is simply a play on words since it sounds exactly the same as the word for "spray", which uses a different kanji character, and this is a subtle attempt to avoid getting into trouble?

Maybe the deliberate spelling mistake is in the word "sarin"; perhaps they meant "saran", as in "Saran Wrap" the plastic wrap for keeping food fresh.

Excellent :)

I have seen the 84" 4K demo TV at the local Sony store, it is quite impressive. You would need to sit pretty close to a 55" TV to notice the difference between 4K and 1080P, but Japan probably has the smallest living rooms in the world, so this may not be an issue!

Then he calmly climbed behind the wheel and drove off with 300 million yen, never to be seen again.

It was Japan s biggest-ever cash heist, netting the crook the equivalent of $3.6 million today,

Surely 300 million yen in 1968 would be worth more than $3.6 million USD today?

couple interesting things;

some ATMs not open 24/7 or on public holidays Speed limit not being enforced on the roads NO ONE wears seat belts in the back seat of a car Reliance on Inkan (perhaps not necessarily a bad thing?)

including a 2.4-liter engine promising 181 horsepower

Is this not a decrease from the current model? 135kW does not sound like much.

A quick wikipedia search on "Q-Chan" (using her real name) and this is what turned up;

Achievements:

2001 Berlin Marathon - world record

2000 Olympic Games - gold medal

Obviously she has been doing something other than sport to keep her in the Geinou crowd?

This would be great if only international roaming data fees weren't so high... Cloud computing means the necessity of a fast data connection - something that is extremely expensive when overseas, when this software is most needed.

I doubt that these two have even seen Prison Brea!

Besides, the final season isn't even about breaking out of Prison... why then the title "Final Break"? - However, techincally the last couple of episodes are about a "final break".

I think that is going to make a huge difference in terms of early sales of the Nexus and hopefully this will lead Apple to abandon their stupid one carrier policy.

Can't the iPhone be bought outright from apple? I know it's a little more expensive...

Why don't any Japanese firms allow people to do this yet? So much for advanced technology..

I'd say it's more to do with licensing than technology problems...

Upon re-reading, the author was indeed referring to Adobe Flash. My apologies.

Posted in: New iPhone software has copy-paste, no Flash See in context

There are many other new features, not mentioned in this article. Check out the Apple website or many other tech sites. Agreed they should have been on the iPhone 3G from day 1.

To Sk4ek; e-wallet is a Japanese-only hardware and the iPhone is marketed worldwide with no change in hardware. Perhaps in the future we will see custom models for different markets. One Seg tuner would be at the top of many Japanese wish lists no doubt. Perhaps with the new 3rd party hardware support, this could be achieved.

I am not sure why the author of this article was expecting flash photography capabilities? It is a software update after all. Perhaps they mistook Adobe Flash?
