@lrodriguezsosa Not exactly relevant, eh? Jackson wasn't saying that shooting at higher framerates would make movies better - he just wanted a much overdue technical improvement, which is always a welcome development if you ask me.

Come on, who can honestly say he hasn't at some point imagined himself walking around with his girlfriend, when he suddenly encounters a random robber/hijacker/psycho/rapist, fights the bad guy off like Jason Bourne x100 and goes back to her place for the essential sexual reward. I know I have, and I'm definitely sure Wahlberg has...he was just dumb enough to tell a journalist.

I'll probably go to hell for this, but here goes:
Lions, and tigers, and bears! Oh, my!
Back to the serious matter at hand, I definitely understand that the safety of the populace had to be prioritized. Really don't understand what could've driven the owner to do something like that.

Osakadaz: I wouldn't be surprised if the bikie gangs are connected to this.
I don't know, seems to me like those gangs would just go ahead and do the real deal, with real dynamite, grenades and whatnot.
PS: I still love how the Kiwis and Aussies creatively make a word cuter by adding "ie" at the end. Barbie, sammie, bikkie, chippie, bikie......LOL. :D

Now you can pretend to care and look fabulous at the same time!
I would like to see the rich and powerful actually caring enough to dig some change out of their pockets for a ticket to Japan, don rubber boots and help clearing debris, or building shelters. What they're doing right now doesn't really require much effort - it's the same thing they do every day, just with an added twist.

I sometimes try to fool myself into thinking I'm being more health-conscious by buying grain-based chips or baked chips. Might be marginally better for me than Lay's, but in the long run, it's just as bad.
It feels a lot easier to cut down on the chips in Japan, though. The bags are smaller (unless you really search for big bags in Don Quijote or the likes), and it costs more per kilo than most other countries, so my wallet guilt-trips me from buying too much of it. Besides, there are a lot of alternative snacks, like crispy squid and other Japanese-made things, that are both cheaper and healthier.

Posted in: Human rights groups around the world are urging the International Olympic Committee to rescind its decision to hold the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing and that countries boycott the Games over China's human rights violations of more than a million Uyghur Muslims. Do you support such a call?
