The fence may be part of the solution and allow border controls to filter out the genuine refugees from Syria to give them temporary asylum or preferably support them in the Middle East until the conflict ceases. It might just be the "final solution" (no historical reference implied) to the paralysis that has engulfed the EU. As for the Daily Mail, a rag, but it tackles politically incorrect issues and if it is only 10% right then it provides some diversity of opinion from the Guardian/BBC group think.

The final solution..... a fence. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3447858/Czech-Republic-Slovakia-Hungary-Poland-meet-discuss-creating-blockade-stop-migrants-arriving-Greece.html#ixzz40Gf4mdG2

Australians are a heartless lot but I was surprised to learn that they are taking 25,000 refugees through the UN this year.

The good thing is that Obama is on the way out, good riddance.

I bought a Ford the same time as my neighbours bought Toyota and Mazda. For the 8 years I owned it, it was in the shop 19 times to fix "issues with this particular model" and my neighbours never took their's to the shop apart from regular servicing. What a dreadful car this Ford was, never again....

@ Strangerland Ever the optimist.

This is an old story, I read about this a year ago. Pitiful situation still and proponents of mass immigration still don't get it with their cultural vibrancy arguments.

This is what happens when up to a million muslim men come from places where women are dressed in tents and those that aren't are considered "uncovered meat for the taking". Bad times coming to Germany.

I have just spent a month in Germany visiting family, and I saw it for my own eyes. Japan will not make the same mistake as the hand wringers would have them do.

@Blackbird439 So these figures were published, could cite the source?

@Blackbird439 " the majority of Syrian refugees are educated, middle to upper-class professionals" could you reveal the source of this data?

Antonio Guterres is from Portugal I think and the last time I looked Portugal has taken about 40 refugees ( I might be wrong). He travels the world trying to spread middle eastern misery to the West. Don't think it will happen in Japan. I just saw that Sweden has shut the gates, must be something in it.

@MarkG The number of family members seeking reunion is between 4 to 8 for a middle eastern family.(In the report leaked last week estimating 1.5 million migrants this year). Just the beginning of the protest.

@Peace Out You seem to have an intimate knowledge of these matters, you should go to Australia as a media spokesperson for the Muslim community, they sorely need one that can articulate their case.

@Peace Out There is an element of 'give me that for free and forever" in all this. The Western world can solve all my problems it only you let me get at the stuff.

@ Peace Out. Someone else gets to pay for the "comfortable life and education" she desires.

The stone throwers would make particularly good citizens, Germany is welcome to them.
