MeanRingo. I was not referring to myself. I am well aware of the beauty of the world. And I know there are exceptions but for most people money is the be all and end all. Look at the mess the world is in because of it.

It is truly sad that the ultimate goal of the human race is the acquistion of wealth. With our large brains and all the things we are capable of doing, is this all that people have come down to? This was written in the 1930`s. I think his observation has never been more true than now.

I agree with the turbo-greed statement. Just maybe the level of economic growth is simply unsustainable anywhere at anytime. The $600 000 house with Hummer and a speedboat in the driveway is too greedy. Why do people need to live so extravagantly? As for the corporate bigwigs who caused this whole problem, they are even worse. Be realistic everyone.

Ah comedians in Japan. Is there anything they can`t do? Is there ever a day when they are not in the news?

Yes. Garbage cans would certainly help. It is a strange way of thinking. You are supposed to take your garbage home with you and dispose of it. This system is obviously not working. Not only beaches but parks and roadways are covered with litter. Japan also needs to instill a conscioussness about cleaning up in the school system. Kids too seem to just throw their garbage anywhere and everywhere. Need a little less focus on passing a test and a little more focus on community responsibility.

A lot of talk and people are excited about Obama but come election day (I am sorry )but McCain will win the day. It is too bad but I fear the U.S. will go with the older white guy.

Everyone always blames the man for everything that goes wrong. Maybe after 500 nights in a row of "Not tonight" men eventually just get lonely. Men are men! She appears to be enjoying his money I see.
