Sorry to Generalize but I think that along with Democracy there should be Transparency in Govt in an Ideal World. But when underlying systems are embedded in a society, Democracy can be in conflict with old ways of thinking. I think the movie may touch on this subject..... Not such though but I think it may.

@ basroil,

It's Blatant neglect, there is not even a medical facility onsite at TEPCO's Daiichi NPP. Plain and simple no matter how you personally call it.

The bully's actions drove that young boy to jump off the roof of the apt. building. That was the young boy's answer to being treated as less than human by boys who are less than human. To me if you are not a civilized human being, you are an animal who walks on two legs. It is obvious those bully's were not taught/raised to be civilized and not taught to value life. Therefore saying they should not be punished, cause that is all an animal understands when it does something bad. Is saying to them that killing that young boy was okay. They might as well have pushed him off the roof themselves with what they did to him. Murder is murder and all murderers regardless of age should be treated accordingly. Jails and juvenile detentions were made for just such people. Those who act like animals are treated like animals.

It's easy. Just ask TEPCO the same question, and after stalling for a few months, when some one month-long employee gets back to you, just realize that the truth is the opposite of what he's been ordered to tell you.

You said it all right there.

Really informative, TEPCO's Golden Goose. I can only shake my head, too deep. I can't even imagine having to go through something like this first hand. I have a new appreciation for the disaster at the NPP and the workers who had to be not just alittle nervous in trying to stem off the nightmare happening around them and they DID NOT RUN and PM Kan went there into the thick of it.

Posted in: Japan's nuclear power plants to undergo stress tests See in context

Japan's Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency says the tests are designed to determine how well nuclear power facilities can withstand earthquakes and tsunami.

The tests involve simulated quakes and tsunami whose strength is gradually raised to check their effects on the plant and its functions.

The goal is to identify a facility's weakness so countermeasures can be taken to prevent another nuclear disaster.

Umm, I don't think the reactors that are 40 years old should go through this, they should be decommissioned and new tech brought in.

Those reviews, which started June 1, are supposed to consider the impact of both natural and man-made events such as airplane crashes and terrorist attacks.

Okay, I don't know if the results are going to be good but good luck with that.

@ taj

Utrack, why don't you go watch the video so that you know what you're on about.

Ryu Matsumoto's statement below, thepro has it posted

'Get the consensus. Otherwise we won't do anything. Just do it. You came in after me, but when you greet a guest, be in here first and call in the guest. Understand? The Self Defense Force would do it because they have the sense of seniority. Got it? Do better than this. [Speaking to the news reporters in the room] Oh my last remark is off the record, understand? Everyone. Understand? If any of you dare write it, that will be end of your company.'

What, Business Etiquette is Universal. Try keeping the owner of a Company waiting. Try it anywhere in the world and you will get wait the LDP got, if their in a good mood and still want to deal with you.

My Bad, the city is goinng to compensate the Date City evacuees.

The city of Date in Fukushima Prefecture sent 113 households written notices on Friday to recommend that they evacuate.

On Thursday, the central government designated the 113 households as areas with radioactive hotspots despite being outside the government-designated evacuation zone around the troubled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant.

The cumulative radiation is expected to reach the government standard of 20 millisieverts a year in areas that include the 113 households in 4 districts in the Ryozenmachi area. Date City is about 50 kilometers northwest of the plant.

The city is asking the 113 households if they plan to evacuate and to return their answers by July 8th.

The city says it will provide subsidies for rental accommodation, adding that about 40 municipal housing units are available.

Why were these people not properly compensated wherein they could rent an apartment or home. I read on NHK World English that 113 homes will be asked to evacuate Date City because it's a Hotspot of radiation and that they will be compensated so the can rent a home.

A relative of the deceased woman said: “She was always an upbeat and cheerful person. She was considerate and caring and she never stopped smiling.”

The evacuee shelter where the living conditions are inhumane ( cardboard cutaways), have turned a vibrant person towards death as a way to escape those conditions. She went HOME to her house and hurt herself, it is horrible that the evacuees living in the shelters are looking at death as a way out.

This is past all reasoning, Japan needs Prussian Blue Right at this moment and they are playing the Money game with peoples lives.

Internal radiation exposure found in 15 people surveyed in Fukushima

Radiation experts said Sunday they had found internal radiation exposure in all of the 15 people they surveyed in May in areas 30-40 kilometers from the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.

The experts surveyed 15 people aged between 4 and 77 in Iitate and Kawamata in early and late May, and found radioactive cesium in both batches of their urine samples.

I think JGovt should just be honest and tell these people that are evacuees from the No Go Zone. That they may not be able to go home for many years. This may help them to move on and not be in Limbo.
