Yes, this is a very beneficial technology. It could be used for rising sea levels as well if given the data. Small and large island countries are at risk.

Anyone who knows an inkling about the affects of coal burning power plants on the populations in the plants area know that coal burning emissions deteriorate the health of the population. If Scot Morrison were fit to be PM he would wish to curb coal burning emissions himself.

It is quite obvious PM Scot Morrison is too dense to do his job properly, he should have come to the table with his ideas and plans for the future and the Pacific region. But in his ignorance he cries about money. So, I can only conclude that he must be made to do his job.

I do not know what some of the above posters read. But this article states the Pacific Island Nations are asking Australia to do more to curb climate change. Coal and Uranium mining in Australia are both environmental health hazards and affect CO2 levels traping GHG. Fiji and the other Pacific Nations are rightly concerned.

This is old news... The HIV virus was first detected in a certain strain of monkey kidney in a lab in Philadelphia, PA. Monkey Kidneys have been used to create vaccines like for Polio. The kidneys with the HIV strain were sent to Europe to create a vaccine to be given to the People of Africa. This is what 2 doctors at stanford found out. They thought they had infected people by using the same needle repeatedly but it turned out to be the vaccine.

I can see the dark side to this third party purchasing of businesses. As a money laundering scheme that could bring in dirty money from international buyers. The businesses may not even remain open. We buy businesses advertisements may start popping up all over the place.

Why not just convert all available incinerators to waste to steam power plants. Burning waste can boil water to create steam energy just like a nuclear power plant. But waste to steam power plants are much safer and with filtered smoke stacks it is a whole lot cleaner too.
