The US Gov already has its own stable crypto coin valued at the USD. There is no need for libra here. Western Union provides online instant sending and receiving of money.

Why not just provide an instant payment system without having to convert your money to a crypt coin to do it. Call it Libra instant payment.

By wanting Libra coin to be a global payment system that provides instant payment. Sounds like Libra coin is supposed to be a version of SWIFT instant payment system but with its own cryptocurrency.

The Libra coin will be backed by and based on each countries currency. Each countries currency has a different value. Therefore each countries libra coin will have a different value

Any country can and should create its on cryptocurrency. Facebook libra seems too much of a hassle. I would exchange it for my countries currency but I would not allow its use.

Since the facebook libra coin is backed by 21 country currencies so far and with each one having a different value. There would have to be 21 different libra coins. Do they have the same name?? Say you can by 100 Haitian libra at the value of the Gourdes. Go to the US and cash in 100 libra for USD. Do you get 2 USD or 100?

I do not think dirt embankments are sufficient anymore. If 800mm which is not even 3 feet of rain with the dams releasing water can collapse a dirt embankment. Stone and or concrete embankments are a better choice to save lives.

No thought to maintaining and upgrading infrastructure before and accident. J Gov is only good cleanup work. J Gov so busy in the international arena, while leaving the very thing holding up the country itself to collapse.

Where are the people hired to maintain the many rivers ecology and infrastructures? With embankment collapse (rot) in 79 places along 55 rivers? River Keepers are essential to the health and wellbeing of the People and the rivers.

Taxes pay for Infrastructure repair and replacement also J govt salaries. J Gov must be making too much money. The Chikuma River has 6 dams that can release water into it. Which dams released water and how much water was released?

Local officials know the number of homeless they have. The requirement of an address targets the homeless for exclusion and suffering. Elevate Suffering, do not add to the problem.

I keep thinking of mister Saito checking to see if there was flooding outside his home after the storm past his area and he said there was no water. I have done the very same thing during a category 2 twice, the difference is I live on a manmade lake that is fed via the river by ocean water. My backyard has a 50 foot incline that floods during the hurricane, which is no problem, because it has not reached the house. The devastation of this typhoon is shocking, at how long a distance the water traveled and how high the water level is after the storm had left the area possibly hours earlier.

Posted in: Typhoon victims felt worst was over; then floods came See in context

Previous articles state that about 7 dams would be releasing water during the typhoon. Was this action attributable to the water level? I think an incremental dam water release days prior to the typhoon making landfall could have been a help. The video of the devastation is unprecedent and I hope for the best possible outcome for everyone affected.

To me it looks like Ukraine was splintering back when Obama promised Ukraine UN mdmbership. Beforehand the then Pres of Ukraine may have been influenced by Russia to go in their direction and Obama could not prevent this with UN membership. Anyway Ukraines' border last I checked had full on Russian Army testing for weakness. Ukraine soldiers at the ready for combat engagement.

Must be hard for the People Ukraine, there are many Russian speaking citizens there. Back when they were apart of Russia settlers moved in and they are still there. Putin paid Ukraines' IMF loan payment as if Ukraine was apart of Russia.

Firstly, Corporate firms should not have been entrusted with the responisibility of increasing wages to spur the economy, That is J Gov responsibility. Second, the archaic honor system J Gov has in place leaks too much money, to be a tech oriented society. To increase taxes without using the very same tech advances that would shore up leaks in the tax system is lax, lazy and foolish.

Cities in the US already have opened places where offhce space is shared. Like the hive in New York City. With the tariff war between China and the US in full swing. I do not see alibaba keeping such a high value. It too may crash and burn since sales to the US have slowed.

South Korea is one of three countries in the world on paper that saves more than it spends Russia and Germany are the other two. Moon Jae-In does not want any tourism money going to Japan from Korea. Better North Korea than Japan in his book. He does not seem to like Japan and has encouraged this sentiment.

Japan Govt. Could easily divert funds from where the investments are strongest without gauging the pockets of the People of Japan for more pennies. The let the People pay for starts to take its toll on the economy as a whole. Japan Govt in itself is not poor by any means having its on corporations in every sector imaginable.
