"JAL will continue to serve and support valuable customers traveling between Australia and Japan for leisure or for work with these codeshare arrangements and two daily flights connecting Tokyo and Singapore."

Its a lie. Theres not enough revenue in flights to any Australian city after Sydney, so they dont care at all about the 'valuable customers' because there just arent enough of them. A scratch-my-back with Qantas at least keeps Bris-vegas in their network, though not sure how much thats worth to them...

Qantas premium economy is between business and economy. Better seats and more legroom than economy, and business class meals. Qantas have had it for a long time too, whats new is adding it to the Tokyo and Frankfurt routes.

Singapore Airlines is a lot more expensive than other airlines

I guess that depends on the route you're flying. I fly Tokyo-Melbourne multiple times a year, and Singapore is always cheaper the Qantas, and usually cheaper the Malaysian and Cathay Pacific.

Other airlines have been doing this too. Qantas started it a couple of years back, I believe BA also do it too. I wouldn't be surprised if AA are the last American airline to do it. Its funny how asian airlines (and while we're at it the gulf state carriers as well) can focus on service and do it for the same price as these dinosaurs cutting back on services, charging extra for what once free, and generally degrading the experience... Airlines such as Singapore, Cathay Pacific, Korean, ANA etc offer a far more pleasant experience than these pathetic American, Australian and British money pits, and are often much cheaper and are more profitable companies. Keep your no frills airlines tmarie, I'll be flying the 3rd way.

Aspartame, despite the urban legends perpetuated on the internet, is perfectly safe with tons of science to back that up.

If you trust the 'science' that claims its safe, good luck to you. But please don't drink it if you're pregnant. Its not worth the risk.

Personally, I'd take my chances with a natural product over a highly controversial man-made chemical thats only purpose is to make people money. But thats just me.

Goldman Sachs people were already well-placed in the incoming Democrat administration, to which GS contributed 7 times as much money as Bush ever got from Enron. What was / is anyone gonna so about it? What can they do? Obama got a million bucks from these people...

Thats why this doesn't make sense. Why is this happening now? Whats the real agenda?

This is part of Obama's "to big to fail" theme.

Seriously? TARP, the embodiment of 'to big to fail', was implemented under a previous administration. Replace "Obama" with "US Government" and your points are on the ball. Do you seriously think that Obama himself is responsible for the situation the world is in now? You know he is just an actor, the real players are behind him like they were behind the previous guy...

Anyway, Goldman hedged. Its quite simple. They all did. They're encouraged too. It makes them money (the shareholders and the ones that are personally incentivized). The question I want to know the answer to is why Goldman, why now?

Sony's advertising has always irritated me.

Agreed, and this one is wholly unoriginal and bordering on plagiarism, unless Robbie Cooper was involved...
