Posted in: In Japan, idled Dreamliner pilots lose pay See in context

They come to the USA and hang out with the Air Force Thunderbird pilots who have been "idled" also. “While we will protect flying operations in Afghanistan and other contingency areas, nuclear deterrence and initial flight training, roughly two-thirds of our active-duty combat Air Force units will curtail home station training,” Air Force chief of staff Gen. Mark A. Welsh III said in a statement

Posted in: In Japan, gun ownership is a privilege, not a right See in context

"Virtually all handgun-related crime is attributable to gangsters, who obtain them on the black market. But such crime is extremely rare and when it does occur, police crack down hard on whatever gang is involved, so even gangsters see it as a last-ditch option."

Something tells me this might reduce US gun deaths as well.

Posted in: 48 killed, 150 injured as allies launch airstrikes in Libya See in context

More civilans were killed in Yemen yesterday than in all of the Libyan conflict to date. So, whats the reasoning behind only intervening in Libya if it is indeed only for the reasons as stated by Clinton and Obama to protect civilans and allow aid in? Is Syria next for a no fly zone? Lastly, those sure are some well armed "civilians" I see running around attacking gov't forces..........

The U.N.?? When it comes the enforcing treaties or approving and then taking justified military action they are more impotent than B. Obama is. Japan, take note, Obama will leave you in the lurch just the same. And guess who knows this best? Your Chinese buddies.
