The US has not advised American carriers to comply with the rules set by China for its newly established ADIZ. It just recommends them to operate according to Notices to Airmen issued by foreign countries. This means that US carriers whose airliners cross the disputed area may submit flight plans to China to avoid any possible incident. They may also ignore China's requirements.
