According to the Aviation Safety Network this same plane, with registration # 9M-MRO, was involved in an accident at Shanghai-Pudong Intl. airport on Aug. 9, 2012. I agree. Loved the MOS Chicken too, and I don't care how unhealthy it may have been... I can still remember tearing the perforations on that paper pouch that held the still-too-hot-to-eat chicken.
Thanks for making me hungry, JT!

According to the article "How long do dead bodies remain intact in the ocean? " on the Scientific American website (http://www.scientificamerican.com/blog/post/how-long-do-dead-bodies-remain-inta-2009-06-10/?id=how-long-do-dead-bodies-remain-inta-2009-06-10):
"A 2002 study in the journal Legal Medicine examined nine bodies that had drifted hundreds of kilometers in cold waters off the coast of Portugal and Spain. Bodies recovered in the first week were in good condition, but the beginning signs of decomposition were present on a body recovered after eight days. The two bodies recovered after 20 days were highly decomposed and could only be identified through DNA analysis or dental records. As for warmer water, a 2008 study on two human bodies recovered following aircraft accidents found one body off of Sicily to be partially skeletonized after 34 days and a second body off of Namibia to be completely skeletonized after three months."

Not sure about skeleton, but in "regular" luge helmet manufacturer Uvex supplies all the helmets for countries in the International Luge Federation. To paint a luge helmet with your own design you have to buy the rights from Uvex, but this can be expensive. That's why you may only see unique designs on well-known, successful lugers' helmets---they can afford it.

The flight track log for the flight is here:
http://flightaware.com/live/flight/AAR214/history/20130706/0730Z/RKSI/KSFO/tracklog
The target approach speed is 137 knots---but geez, look at the airspeed in the table just prior to the crash. At 400 feet and 134 knots, they are already under the target speed and still decelerating: 134 knots... 123... 109... 85... (I have no idea how accurate the numbers in the table are.)
NTSB Chairman Deborah Hersman said at a briefing Sunday, "The speed was significantly below 137 knots, and we're not talking a few knots." No kidding.
