Their pain must be and will be intense for a very very long time. No need to point fingers.

That's what people do on this site sadly, so many armchair experts with all the answers.

It is a fact that suicides are terribly under-counted and the problem is much worse than official data count

How do you know

Depends on the definition of suicide. Are there any factors which could mean underreporting (or overreporting)? And have these changed over time? Police statistics are not always what they seem.

It's good news yet still you people have to find issue with it, always finding some reason why it cannot be right. It is what it is.

It's really not a one sided report if you have been following the story. She did claim the layout of the seating was identical to her design when Kuma's design was chosen. Now, JSC wants to shut her up about it withholding payments.

My comments are based on THIS story.

bjohnson23: What does China do? It challenges and bullies the world with the manipulating the yuan currency, stealing technology and massively building its military capabilities.

My thoughts exactly, well said sir!

That's extortion after the fact. Usually against the law. Japan signed a contract and they will either honour it or get raked through the coals. I

Hold your horses, this article reports only one side, there are not enough details, but I guess that won't stop the anti Japan lot on here

China warns Japan against provocation around disputed islands

Right because china never do that. China are such hypocrites.

It seems the old Japan that solves problems with threats and aggression is still alive and well. Obviously, they didn't learn anything from their obliteration in the first half of last century.

Its called defense and Japan has every right to so just as any other country. If you think Japan learned nothing from the war then you need to get your head out of the sand

Has anyone said otherwise?

Well it seems to me that's exactly what some are suggesting (see below comments taken from here)

Japan will need to pay for what it did, both literally & figuratively, for a long time to come.

and

Why can't this country just apologize, shut up, and compensate these women with no ulterior motives and demands?

These accusations need to be checked and proved. Or should Japan just pay anyone who makes a claim.

As for Samsung televisions or cameras, they simply aren't sold in Japan.

well in my 20 years here I have never heard of such a thing. Walk into Bic camera and there's Samsung TV's and other non-Japanese brands all over. Walk into Docomo and there are Samsung phones and iphones everywhere.

Sadly the real difficulty these days is to find a product Made In Japan since I prefer quality over price. When I ask for made in Japan there is usually very little to show me. As for Samsung cameras well you got me there, not that I would ever buy a Samsung product of any kind especially a camera when I can get a Nikon or a Canon.

But no chance in Japan. I asked the clerk if he can show me the Samsung SSD, and he tried hard to steer me to the far less advanced Toshiba branded SSD. Disgusted, I just walked out.

Here's a tip, go somewhere where they sell what you are looking for.

A total waste of taxpayers' money. China will just say "Excuse me, excuse me" as it crowds to the forefront.

That would be a first, a Chinese saying "excuse me" before pushing and elbowing past you to the front of the line

A peeping toms dream. Remote control toys delivering parcels, whatever next?

Can someone please tell me how drone deliveries actually work? I live on the 12th floor of a condo. So if I buy something online from Amazon, for example, where does the drone deliver it? Does it appear on my balcony?

I was thinking the same thing.

Yeh right, that was the reason.

A couple of bugs, oh what a disaster, so what. Despite the haters and the "usual experts" quick to attack, Japanese trains must still be the best in the world.

Once its done its irreversible and should not be taken lightly. I'd like to hear the proposals of repatriating "refugees" to their own country once its safe to return. Japan is wise I believe and should stand their ground. It's up to Japan to decide and only Japan.

Yeah, we wouldn't want to upset those smokers as they stink up everything and kill people with secondhand smoke. My stars, gotta protect them smokers' feelings! How dare everyone who's not a smoker object to being forced to smoke by someone lighting up and blowing burnt particles from their lungs into everyone's mouths and making half of every restaurant smell like burnt hair.

Boo hoo. Go to one of the many many restaurants where smoking is not allowed, its not as though there are not 100's of choices now days. There are so many of them now that cater to the moaners like you that in Tokyo apart from a good old izakaya, places that allow smoking are much harder to find these days.
