This is false. The Japanese government can ask the US to leave at any time
They can ask but to no avail unless the occupier agrees.

No but perhaps they should test those that request like other developed by do.
Right. So if I go into the hospital with a torn muscle, as I did a month ago, they should test me for coronavirus? A very nice lady approached me when I went in. She asked me in English about any coronavirus sympyoms. I told her it was an injury, not sickness. The end result was that the incompetent morons didn't test me for corinavirus.

Test less find less. Well done.
Should Japanese authorities grab perfectly well people off the street and forcibly swab them for the virus?

In a way, the Soviet Union is as much to blame as the imperialist powers for making the Olympics just as much a political contest as a sporting contest. Way back they basically said, "the imperialist powers are taking this seriously. We should win the most gold medals and then see how much they want to politicise it."
They should have ignored them or set up a parallel competition and made it about sport.

Yeah but the fact the Russian rythem gymnastics girl didn't win the gold medal shows the Olympics is a stinking pile of imperialist political intrigue just as much as a sporting contest.

Surely you jest? With a combined coastline of 25,000 km, you don't think there could be a few beaches along there somewhere?
They might have a few at the end of fjords where one can enjoy the beach with seals and iceburgs just offshore.

Judging by the number of infections in highly vaccinated countries like Israel, USA, UK will need boosters before next year.
The Russian vaccine is the only safe and highly effective vaccine. If Japan doesn't order it for political reasons, this nightmare will continue until herd immunity the old-fashioned way. That is, a very large % of the population getting infected and dying or recovering and gaining immunity for at least a few years.

Norway vs Russia for the beach volleyball gold.... Seems like a joke. I think Russia has some beaches on the Black Sea, Crimea and Kaliningrad. No such luck for Norway.

An anniversary marked by willingness of the Japanese government to prolong the war
The fact is the ~#=:- ignored Japan's repeated appeals to surrender until after they could test a new weapon in densely populated urban areas.
I could understand Japan putting up with the occupiers when their economy was the only major one left standing. But now China is a far more important trading partner and rapidly pulling further ahead of any major trading partners.
Time to kick out the occupiers and demand reparations on pain of openly siding with China against them.

Drunken Aussies on a plane? Well knock me down with a feather.
Don't embellish borish behavior. Let's hope they are put on a no-fly list and barred from any involvement in any future Olympics.
Imagine the reaction on this forum if it were athletes from countries not under the thumb of imperialism.
