Posted in: Japan’s first 'cuddle cafe' lets you sleep with a stranger for Y6,000 an hour See in context
Given how skinny the walls are at most cheap business hotels, you're virtually sleeping with the guy next door anyway...well you get the snoring and the signing a song when drunk and stuff like that. Still cheaper than go man yen a night.

Posted in: Pressure on Japan for stronger laws on child pornography See in context
Thinking about it, the best perspective I could think of is that in no country is a criminal allowed to profit from a crime. I would guess that child sexual abuse is illegal in every country. So, there seems to be a case that people possessing child pornography shouldn't get away scot free, otherwise somebody somewhere is profiting from a crime.

My Japanese ex said, basically, she has to act like a moron to get J guys, which is some weird kind of unreality, as if they come home at the end of the day and Ms Airhead says "Ohhh, I am too stupid to be able to turn on the cooker, without a man to help me" they wouldn't be happy..
Once she asked her J boyfriend "why do you like this stupid tv program?" Admittedly, he did drive her to hospital to get her jaw checked after her punched her in the face, so that's real good manners.

//Japan's military: well-armed but untested in battle
Good. I hope they stay that way. Better than getting caught up in other's pointless overseas wars.
But, if I could make comment on the article, it says Japan is nuclear weapons free. By sheer coincidence, it just happens to be a country with a great deal of nuclear material to hand, and a mature rocket industry. I'm guessing that it would be possible to combine the two quite rapidly.
