Posted in: Japan celebrates WBC win See in context
That was a great ending to a 4 hour game. A blown save and then a rally in the 10th. I am surprised to read that over 55,000 attended the game. I guessed that half that number would show up for the game. 2 equally matched teams. It is too bad that the 2nd base umpire missed those calls. Exciting game though. To me the best thing about the WBC was that a European team won games.

The stakes are getting higher in the bailout game. I think AIG employees should fear the crowd. They will probably have to build high walls around their homes. They should put bars on their windows so no one can get in or out. Way to go. AIG

These WBC games are exciting. People get caught up in the nationalism of the games. I can't imagine a lot of people wanting to watch a Carp-Bay Stars game. WBC may be hurting Japan's pro baseball league. Just my 2 yens worth.

The team lost 100 games. They were out of the pennant race by June 1st. Rumors are that their best player is not popular with the other players and they lose $4.5 million. That is the salary of a reserve outfielder in MLB. I would say they had a good financial year. Ichiro is old. Need to trade him.
